Three Blessings I'm Grateful For Today...

1. My 20 minute phone call to my best friend MamaStephy! So grateful she had the time to pick up and shoot the breeze.  (someday I'll meet her 3kids) I think I laughed more in those 20 minutes than I did all day. I love & miss her so!

2. Enjoyed a scrumptious SmashBurger with my old childhood best friend Eidde! I feel like a kid again anytime we get together. I love it! Time surely flies by!! 25 years...WOW!!

3. My sweetheart that I'm blessed and lucky to start and end each day with. Coming home after work to find the whole kitchen clean & all the dishes washed. I love this man more than my heart can ever express.

The Nephews & Niece.

What a great week it's been.  I mentioned in an earlier post that my two oldest nephews came down to visit.  Man oh man, I LOVED having them all in one place.  The awesome part is that in a week I'll get to see all of them all over again!!
I love them, I love them oh so much!  Sometimes my heart can't take it that they've all grown up so fast!!  They are some of my most favorite people on earth!  Heaven knows how much I enjoy being around them.  I know we've certainly grown closer together in the last few years.  I wish I could have them all under the same roof again.
I love the way we can joke around, tease each other to no end and laugh about so many funny family memories. I'm so grateful to know that I will have them for an eternity.  I just hope we get a deck of cards & Monopoly to enjoy for the rest of time.

Dear 2 Boys & 2 Kids,
Stop growing up.
Love,
Your dear ol' aunt.

Late Thursday.

*I'm so truly grateful for the kind friends and loved ones who have encircled me with an abundance of love and understanding, this week.  Man, I feel like a million bucks! My loved ones are the greatest and in turn it makes me want to be a better friend & kinder person to everyone.

*This week has been such a doozy.  I can't wait for this weekend! My 2 oldest nephews will be visiting! It's been so long!! All my nephews and niece, in one place.  This makes my heart happy

*I don't have a lot to blog about, tonight.

*I'm excited to celebrate Hermanita's birthday tomorrow.  Man, I'm constantly reminded of the wonderful souls I have in my life that truly bless my life in more ways than one.

*THREE of my friends had babies this week!  WOW!! Crazy exciting! I love them all and wish I could visit all of them and snuggle their babies.

*I had a dream of Tina, Chuy & Chuy's nephew, last night.  It was weird to dream about a baby.  When I told Tina & Chuy my dream, they both said I was next to have a baby.  Uh....we'll see about that.  Oh how I love sleep so much!

*Speakin of which... I better hit the hay!  Peace out!

The 2:03am Blog...with pictures.

 This is work.
A lil unfocused, sometimes.
This is what I'd like to be eating for lunch tomorrow. Bento & Noodle Company, you and your Dragon Roll taste so good!
It trips me out that there's a double decker carousel/merry-go-round at the local mall! I'm not sure which way is which, nor do I really care. I think this is pretty fascinating.
This was the demolition derby at the Del Mar Fair. I've never been to anything like it before! Seriously so cool! I would love to go again!! Speaking of which, I need to blog about that.
I love his face upon meeting Julia Roberts. I'm sure I would have reacted the same way.
I want this for my birthday! I've wanted a G Shock watch for a while now, so it's nice to find one I actually want. Once August rolls by, I neeeeed to get this.
I don't know which face I love more?!?! The one on the left is him using chopsticks at our Korean dinner date. Did I blog about that? Dang it! SO much had happened this month and it's flying by!
I'm so super stoked to be going out to lunch with my dear friend Bugs. I haven't seen her in a year and a half! I'm also super stoked to introduce her to Levi! Ok ok and I'm also really, really stoked to be going out for some crab legs & prime rib!! Mmmmm see ya Saturday, Sycuan!
Have I ever mentioned how much I love love LOVE deep pink roses?!? They are seriously one of my most favorite flowers in the entire world!!
Oh my Dad...(that's him under the umbrella)....with some actor/singer named Elvis. I think I need to go visit my Dad sometime this week. I miss seeing him every day.
I want a dog, preferably an English Labrador.....especially when they start off this cute!!! I would name him Mango and he would love me (ie: not get too excited and jump on me)
It's 2:01am and I need to be at work in 6 hours. Good thing I already packed our lunches for "tomorrow". I couldn't sleep so I got out of bed to make us Chef Salads to take to work. It looks so dang delicious!! Can't wait!
Good night!😱

"When you say you love me, know I love you more..."

This past Saturday, I had the sincere pleasure and beautiful opportunity to see my friend Eidde & his love Joe, get married.   The air was thick with elation, love and affection for this sweet couple.
Watching Joe with his Mother, made me think of how sweet and tender he treats Eidde.
The smile on Eidde's Mom's face sums up the feelings of all those in attendance.
Such beautiful vows were shared!
Some of my best (growing up) memories happened with these 3 people!
With the handsome grooms!

Wedding Photo Booth = A total must have!!
It was such a beautiful celebration of love.  I couldn't be any happier for my friend Eidde.  Joe is so sweet and kind, and I am ecstatic that my dear friend is on cloud #9!  They are so sweet together.  Just being surrounded by so much love and happiness made me think so much about weddings and marriages.  Listening to Eidde & Joe's vows to each other made me even more thankful for my special man...

I'm so glad that my better half always looks good for the camera!
I cannot wait to marry this man of mine.  He means the whole galaxy to me.  He makes everything 1,000,000 times better, brighter, funnier and lovelier.  I can't wait til we exchange vows and dance our first dance together.  So many great things to come...
Especially for my dear friend Eidde & Joe. I wish them the very best life has to offer and a lifetime of love & happiness!

Happy Birthday Liz!

Today is my best friend, Liz'a birthday.
I was so lucky and blessed to live across from her for 30 years of our lives.
I miss it.  It was like my home away from home, but yet, I could still see my home.  I miss being able to kick it with her all the time, and borrow each others movies, or go to Wal Mart together all the time.

However, I'm grateful that we've had such a bond that even though we may not have seen each other for weeks or months, our friendship picks up right where it left off.
I'm glad that I'll get to spend tonight with her and our other kinda/sorta best friend, Eidde.  He moved in next door when we were 9 and he was 5.  We took him in because, well because he wouldn't go away.  He'd follow us every where! He was kinda fun at first, but we thought he was too much of a baby.  Things haven't really changed much.... he still follows us around, and he's still a spoiled brat, but we love him too.  He completes our circle of friendship.
I loved my childhood! It was everything I could have dreamt of, and more!  I owe it all to Liz............and Eidde, I guess. :)

Ten.

I always try to post something sentimental for each of the months we've been dating.  I didn't quite get to it, last Saturday.
I've come to realize, in a very real and sweet sense, that he's definitely my best friend.  I can tell him anything and everything.  Sometimes, it's rather difficult for me, but he listens and doesn't judge.  I trust him completely.
I rather do all the fun and not so fun things with him.  This past week, he had to wait in a long line for the buffet we usually go to together.  He texted me while he was alone in line and suddenly, there was no other place that I wanted to be.  Even in an hour long wait of a line, I would rather be by his side than anywhere else.  We just have the best of times together!! After years of dating, I never thought I'd find someone I thoroughly enjoy being with 24/7. Ok, so we've never been together 24/7, but I have been around him for about 50 hours straight and LOVED every second!!!!
Today, we spent the morning walking around the Kobey's Swap Meet. I haven't been there since I was a teenager.  Oh man, SO much more fun, just walking around with him.  Even while we were driving there, I kept trying to make a pact not to make him laugh, or just laugh in general.  Yeaaaaaah, that lasted a couple seconds!  I just can't help but laugh and I LOVE making him laugh...which makes me laugh even more!! I just have the best of times, with him.
I can't help but think of how incredibly lucky I was to find someone to love, and also laugh with.
My cup runneth o'er ♥

A Nine Month List.

Why Levi B. is my very best friend....
  1. There's no one else I would rather spend my time with!
  2. He remembers ALL the important things & all the things that matter most to me.
  3. He shows his love in a myriad of ways!
  4. I trust him wholeheartedly; with my life & my heart.
  5. I always have the best of times with him!!!
  6. He never judges me.
  7. He is my truest confidant
  8. I can be my crazy, random, lame, overly sentimental/emotional self and he NEVER makes me feel less than what I am. He listens to me ramble, waits patiently til I stop crying and is sensitive at just the right times.
  9. If something's important to me, he makes it important to him, as well.
  10. He makes me laugh...and laughs at 99.9% of my jokes--that's a big deal to me.
{Thank you for the spectacular 9 months, sweetheart!!  I look forward to so much more, with you! I love you!!}

Hosts of angels.

Lately, I've seen this picture pop up on some of the blogs I read.  I really like this picture and what it symbolizes.  I like to think that these hosts of angels are dear loved ones who have passed on...
Those that knew me and know my potential.
Those that love me and want the very best for me.

It's a reassuring comfort that when life gets hard, that I am not alone.
Not only is my life blessed with angels who know and love me here on earth, but angels quietly and invisibly pushing me forward.

I'm grateful for these angels. Each and every one of them.

Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow.

YESTERDAY:  Levi and I had dinner and ate TONS of crab legs.  My mouth is watering just thinking of all the crab legs we had for dinner.  It was scrumptious!!!!  Especially when paired with BBQ pork ribs! LOVE IT!!

TODAY:  I was able to talk with my very best friend MamaSteph.  I miss her so much!! It's been 5 years since we've seen each other.
FAR.  TOO.  LONG.
I can't wait til we're hanging out again, like real friends do.  I miss seeing her facial expressions, while she laughs and most especially watching her hands as she tells her stories.  I miss her completely and terribly!

I also got to spend time with Mr. Red today.  I am going to miss him so much, but I'll blog about that later...

TOMORROW:  I can't wait to see Levi.  We're going to the drive-in to watch The Croods & G.I. Joe.  I seriously LOVE the drive in!!  I think I'm more infatuated with being able to talk during a movie and not disturbing anyone....except Levi.  Oh how I fall more and more in love with him.

Love Month!

Can I just say how much I love Valentines Day?  Ok, so it wasn't always my most favorite of holidays, in fact I use to despise it.  But there's something a lil sad about being bitter on a day that celebrates love.  For a long time I didn't have someone to really enjoy on the day, but I wanted to enjoy the day anyways.  I've come to learn that it's really just a day to celebrate love--for everyone and everything.  Just because I didn't have someone special in my life didn't mean that I had to forget all the great and wonderful people that I did have.  Last year, my then 10 year old niece, was starting to become a lil sad about the day.  I didn't want her to start having a bad taste in her mouth about this particular holiday.  I "heart attacked" her living room the night before Vday, so it would be a nice lil surprise for her in the morning. I'm glad it perked her up! This year, she's already mentioned doing that for me when I awake on Vday morning.  Have I mentioned how endearingly sweet my niece is? She really is the best!
Perhaps I'm even more jazzed about this year's Valentines Day because I have someone so special to share it with.  But I haven't forgotten about all the other things that make Valentines Day special--it's having family and friends to love, and being loved in return.  Isn't that something worth celebrating?! Especially on Valentines Day...and all throughout the month of February? I think so!

A new Bishopric @ CVYSA

Yesterday, a new Bishopric was called in my ol' CVYSA ward.  Bishop Lars has become a very dear and special person to me.  He will always have a special place in my heart.  I couldn't have come across him at a more perfect time in my life.  I thank my Heavenly Father for placing him in my life, just when I needed him most.

CVYSA has found a special place in my heart, as well.  Some of my very favorite friends were found in my last year of ysa.  I'm so thankful that such cherish friendships were made!  I love all of my CV friends dearly and wish I could see them more often.  When I do, I'm glad that I'm always received with such open arms and warm hearts.  I love all of them and miss them when its such long periods before I reunite with them.

Thank you Heavenly Father for such wonderful friends!

NYE!

*My youngest nephew, Kalanster, and his band performed at the House of Blues last night.  I was so proud of him.  I know he had a good time and they've come a long way.  Good for them!

*Tonight's New Years Eve and my family & Levi are going out to dinner.  We're going to an ol' family fave.  It's pretty good Chinese food, but nothing like my beloved Wing Wah.

*Last night, on the way to Kalanster's gig, Levi & I were caught in the rain.  We were trying to locate Nicky Rottens, but ended up going to Panda Inn because of the rain AND it was A LOT closer.  I wouldn't have minded walking to find it, but barely getting over a cold and walking in the rain, doesn't make for a good combination.  I REALLY like Panda Inn.  Just walking in made me remember our Halloween date, when we ate there in our panda costumes.  Oh such a splendid evening, which makes me like Panda Inn more!  Besides, the food is SO good!!

*I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty ecstatic to finally have my first NYE kiss at midnight.  It only took 32 years, but I'm excited.

*Joz, my friend and previous Relief Society counselor-turned RS President, got her mission call to Florida.  I'm so excited for her.  I know that she will be a wonderful and uplifting missionary!! I will miss her greatly!

*We went to watch Les Miserables.  I was a lil hesitant to see it because I had dreamed of finishing the book beforehand, but if its taken me a year and a half to try, I guess it would just be better to watch it.  Oh man, I wanted to cry.  Everything that Mr. Red had told me about it was true, it was beautiful...captivating and marvelous.  I loved it.  I wish there was more on the priest, because I loved reading about him, but Jean Valjean was magnificent.  I loved him.  All the songs make more sense and mean more now that I know the stories behind the songs.   I think the song I love the most is "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables".  When Marius sings it, you can just feel the loss and hurt in his voice--or maybe I can hear it more in the musical soundtrack.  I love that song, but I also love "Bring Him Home"!  So beautiful.  All in all, such a beautiful soundtrack! LOVE IT!!!!  I can't wait to finish the book now because I know there's so much to the story than what we saw in the movie.

*Watching Les Mis made me miss Mr. Red.  I haven't seen him since my birthday and soon enough he'll be moving.  I miss our talks.  I miss hearing his enthusiasm for Les Mis.  Since Bugs has been extremely busy and I haven't seen her since summer, he's been the closest thing to a best friend.  I just miss having someone I can talk to about everything and anything, and knows my heart w/o any explanation.  I wish I knew what was going with Bugs.  Kinda sucks.

*I'm excited for the new year.  I'm excited for a fresh start.  I've been thinking about a word/motto that I can focus on, for 2013.  There's some changes in my life that I need to make, things to improve and enrich my life.  I'm still deciding on my 'focus word', but whatever it is, I know it'll help better my {daily} life.  I'm optimistic on the good that this new year will bring.

*My sweetheart Levi, who makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the entire universe.
*The sweet association of dear friends; where time nor distance haven't altered our friendship.
*A home, a warm bed and food in my cupboard.
*The beautiful sound of music, the talent to sing and the wonder to appreciate it.
*My sister, Bec, who is like a mother and best friend combined.
*My nephews who let me tease them and dish it back, because they see me as a sister.
*My dear niece who has a sweet and kind heart towards everyone.
*My king size down comforter that's like a warm hug every time I use it. (thanks StephyPooh)
*The beauty of the beach.
*Mexican food and the ability to appreciate other cultures.
*The opportunity of mortality, the reassurance of Christ's gospel and latter-day revelation.
&
*Love.

Happy 32nd Liz!

Today is my best friend, Liz's birthday!
She's truly one of my oldest friends! I have no idea when our friendship started, because we grew up across the street from each other....but I'm pretty sure it started right after birth.  I have so many cherished childhood memories, with Liz in almost every single one of them.  We were like partners in crime. We played together, every single day after school.  If my parents wouldn't let me out, I'd call her to come over to ask if I could come out to play.  My parents had a hard time turning her down.  It always worked like a charm! :)
I remember always being invited to her house for birthday parties  There were always reasons to party at her house! I think her Mom loved to throw parties, or something, but I remember first encountering a pinata, at her house.  There was always cake, at each celebration, as well as Liz's Mom with a camera in hand, ready to take photos.  We celebrated almost every holiday together.  We always went trick-or-treating together, and then later decorated and passed out candy for Halloween when we were too old to trick-or-treat.  When we started to realize how fun New Years Eve could be, we started to celebrate that too.  Usually it was just us two with her next door neighbor, Eidde, but we had the best of times together!

I'm not exactly sure how our friendship has endured all these years.  Maybe it's because she's so easy going and didn't mind when I had a crazy idea or two.  Once while we were walking home from Jr. high, the dog at the end of the block got loose and started to run up to us.  Since I'm terrified of [unfamiliar] dogs, I started to run. So did Liz...but she had a death grip on my shirt, which was slowing me down and the dog was quickly catching up!  In that moment, it became, "every man for himself" and I pushed Liz back and off of my shirt, then ran across the street.  The dog continued chasing her, as she screamed and ran for dear life.  (This was a HUGE dog and Liz is about 5'1!) Luckily, the owner came out and called his dog back! Liz wasn't all too pleased with me for ditching her, but dang, that dog was scary! Sorry Liz.

I'm sad that we no longer live across the street from each other. I was so blessed to have a wonderful neighbor and a loyal best friend, found right across the street, for 30 years.   Liz has been the most truest and dedicated friend anyone could ever ask for! I don't know how I got this lucky to have her in my life since we were born.  Even though we don't see each other every day now, I miss her so, SO much!   I always thought we'd forever live across the street from each other, even after we grew up and had our own places.  I know that I'll never find a neighbor like Liz again in this lifetime, but that's okay, at least I still have her as my very best friend.

Happy 32nd Birthday Liz!

Just the day I needed!

Today was just the Sunday I needed

I decided to go to my ol' YSA ward today because I didn't feel like driving 20 miles to church.  Sometimes that gets a little old.  Besides, I just wanted to feel the goodness of having dear friends nearby.  I got to see and hold BabyChleo, who's no longer a baby anymore :( She's so big and sadly, she's kinda forgotten me.  Major bummer! Yet another reason I miss going to CVYSA ward!
I'm just so glad I was able to come across so many old friends that I love dearly.  They all mean so much to me and just seeing them all, and receiving so many smiles, hugs and warm greetings were tender mercies sent from above.
The talks in Sacrament meeting were exactly what I needed to hear.  They were uplifting and made me ponder a lot about what I need to change in my life.  From one of the talks, I liked what he had to share...
*You can do whatever you want, as long as:
1. You have a plan.
2. You show your work.
3. You take responsibility.
It's simple and I LOVE simplicity, but he applied that to all things in life.  Phenomenal! I love it!  I need to start living that way.
Being amongst the Relief Society sisters was a joy! Oh how I miss serving in Relief Society!  I think I loved serving in that calling just as much as I loved being a missionary. My friend taught the lesson and gave a fantastic analogy for sharing the gospel.
Afterwards, I hung out with some friends and it was just so good to be amongst friends....people who know me, who just get me and just all around like me.  Man, it was great!  I also received great news about going back to school in September. Oh man, it was out of the blue and I'm stoked for the opportunity!!!
On the way home, I stopped in to visit with the Buzz family.  They're some of my favorite people and favorite kids!! Oh how I love them so!!  Just being around their kids, I feel GOOD.  Their home is filled with goodness and love.  I love spending time with them! They are truly heaven sent friends, to me and my family.  We sure love them, a lot.
After my VERY crazy day yesterday, today couldn't have been better.  In the afternoon, I got to spend some alone time down at the Coronado Ferry Landing....so blissfully sweet.  Today was definitely filled with tender mercy moments, and I couldn't be more grateful.

Tolerance & Sensitivity.

Lately, I've become very sensitive to anti-gay slurs & jokes. I have two very close friends who are gay and they mean the world to me.  We've discussed, at length, what my religion feels about their "lifestyle" choice, but they know exactly how I feel about it and feel about them.   I love them very much and they know that.
I've known Eidde since I was 9 years old and we've been friends since before we understood what 'gay' meant.  Why would my feelings and friendship change with him just because of who he chooses to love?  I've always been taught to "love one another", but why must it stop once that person's life choices don't exactly match up with my religion's standards?  Who am I to judge?
That's where I have a hard time with religion.
My other close friend, PajamaPants has been one of my dearest friends since we met in the mission field.  It was a little rocky when he confirmed his sexuality, but at the heart of it all, PajamaPants is still the same friend I've come to know and love.  We talked it out and I feel like our friendship has grown deeper.  Since he's come out, he still supports me in my religion and I support his happiness.  When I had to sing at church, on my last birthday, he came and cheered me on.  That truly meant the world to me and I couldn't help but cry out of sheer love for my dear friend.  In a couple weeks, I'll be able to support my friend when we go to San Diego's LGBT Pride festival.
With some of the new friends I'm making, I'm trying to understand their sense of "humor" when they poke fun at the homosexual community here in San Diego.  It truly hurts my heart when I hear those stupid jokes.  I can't help but think of homosexuals I know, because they are kind, generous human beings with a heart and should be treated with the same decency and respect as anyone else.  I met a man, not too long ago, who's only been to Hillcrest (a part of town that's highly populated by the LGBT community) once because he was afraid "it was contagious and that [he'd] be hit on."  Such ignorance!!!!  I was so disgusted with him that I couldn't even look at him.  A couple months ago, I scored tickets to "Taste of Hillcrest" and was very excited about it so I posted it on my Facebook.  An acquaintance then asked if it "tasted fruity".  The other night at dinner, gay slurs were being tossed around and I just wanted to leave.  I couldn't believe that I was surrounded by such homophobic people.  I was disgusted.
I'm just so tired of it and my heart goes out to my LGBT friends.  I'm also tired of being pigeonholed as a "Mormon"/"Christian" who "hates gays."  Not true....at least not for this Mormon.

The Friday Catch Up Game.

(This is what you photograph while waiting for your brakes to be fixed.)
*So my date from Tuesday... Uh, it wasn't anything great or grand. If it was, then I would have blogged about it sooner. Dating him would be a waste of time.  I'm not physically attracted to him, the connection I had with him on the phone could not make up the difference.  Ok, even if I TRIED to be attracted to him, the BIGGEST turn off was when he did not walk me to my car.  I went to his place, so he could make some pancakes that I found online.  WORST. THING. I. EVER. PUT. IN. MY. MOUTH.  They were extremely bland and very mushy--it was a very nice gesture and effort.  Since that was all he made, I didn't have anything to mask it.  Afterwards, we talked in his living room listening to 80's music, which I can't stand, and watched a lil of Tosh.0[Little sidenote,  he's 51 years old.  Yes, 20 years older than me.  He seemed young, til we actually met....then I realized that he really IS that old.] He tried to lead into kissing but I couldn't.  Poor guy had no game.  I'd blog about how I really felt about him, but I'm trying not to be that heartless.  Anyways, the guy didn't walk me to my car and he lives in a shady part of town, it was dark and my car was about 1/2 block away.  I was pretty pissed.  I mean, seriously, if he was smart or had an ounce of game in him, he would have walked me for one last ditch effort of a kiss.  I mean, that's what other guys have done.   It just made me think of Houston, who always walked me to my car.    All I can say is no wonder why this guy is single.  He needs a wingman or a Hitch

*There were 3 birthdays this week. My Mom's and my two very good friends, PajamaPants (Peej) & Eidde!
*Peej (L) is one of my dearest friends. We met on the Mish....in Philadelphia.  I once had a crush on him, we talked about it (& there wasn't any type of weird awkwardness! Thank goodness!) and now we're the best of friends. I love him dearly and cherish every moment I get to spend with him. He's extremely funny & very kind!  I ALWAYS have the best of times with him!!  He has the most beautiful singing voice I've ever heard {check it out here!}.  I'm so eternally grateful that Heavenly Father brought our paths together.  Who knew that when we met in October 2002, that we would end up as friends, after the mish. Lucky for us, we both happened to be from the San Diego area.  I'm so glad that we can continue to love and support each other in our lives.  I hope that we're friends for the rest of our lives.  I know my life wouldn't be complete without him.

*Eidde (R) is one of my oldest friends.  He moved into the house next to Liz when he was 5 and we were 9....we've been friends ever since!  He's been like the annoying lil brother I never had, but he's also been a true confidant.  Honestly, I have no idea how we're still friends?! I've played some of the worst pranks on him, growing up.  Poor guy would ALWAYS fall asleep whenever we hung out at Liz's house.  I would always paint his finger &/or toe nails....or put make-up on him.....or slip flowers in his hands that were clutched on his chest to make it look like he was dead, then take photos of it..........or hide his shoes, after falling asleep at the movies, then leave him as the last person in the theatre til the security guard woke him up........or.... well, I better not name the rest or else he might never return my phone calls.  I love Eidde, I truly do. I miss the fact that we hardly see each other these days, but that'll never change the way I feel about him.  He continues to help me be more open minded and I'm grateful we have such love & respect for each other. Eidde, I love you.

*I'll blog more about my Mom's birthday later....gotta upload some pics.

*Dating & guys......  I think I'm gonna lay low for a while.  It's just a frustrating game. Yes, game.  There's stupid rules to it and ALL of it is just confusing.   I think for the month of May, I'm just not even going to focus on guys.  I don't care if the hottest, funniest, wealthiest, smartest, most spiritual & religious single & available man sits down next to me at church or at the movies or at a park..... I'm not biting. I'm just frustratingly done right now.

*And with that said, it's beautiful out....I think I wanna go ride Big Blu (that's the official name of my bike now.)  Happy Friday!

For the record: Friendship.

I think I need to explain something quick!

This is Mr. Red:

We are ONLY and ever will be only friends.
Yes, I did like him (VERY past tense).
But that's not the reason we're still friends.  In my last post, I mentioned that I "crave spending time with him."  I do, that's true.
The reason why I "crave" that time hanging with him is because I can talk to him about EVERYTHING and ANYTHING, and NEVER feel judged.....and I have discussed EVERYTHING under the sun with him.  I don't have many friends that I can be so open with, like I am with him and my very best friend, Bugs.  A few friends come close and I'm grateful for them and their friendship.  Them too, do I desire spending time with.

I'm the kind of person that genuinely loves her friends. I miss them when I don't see them or talk with them for long periods of time.  I grew up with 2 best friends living right across the street from me.  I never had to experience losing a friendship due to moving.  To this day, I still live within a one mile radius of Liz & Eidde and talk to them to this day. I love my friends, I tell them that whenever we talk.  If I died tomorrow, I hope my friends know of the love I have for them, the blessing it's been for them to call me a friend and that my life has been enriched because of them. I never like saying goodbye to a friend or a friendship, and avoid it at all costs.

So about my friendship with Mr. Red.....  I've trusted him with my deepest secrets, my craziest thoughts and my most sensitive feelings.  He knows me as well as my best friend, Bugs and my sister, Bec.  When we're hanging out, we're usually just talking. He is an intelligent individual and I'm always left with the appetite and aspiration to learn.  The fact that his gender happens to be male, sometimes strikes a nerve with the guys I date.  I've learned to not mention Mr.Red to them, anymore than I do about my female friends.

I can only hope that the guys I date understand that when I say, "We're only friends" that they trust me completely on that fact.  Because if roles were reversed, I would understand and never ask them to stop befriending someone that makes them want to be a better person.
