My heart.

This man.
He shows his love for me every day, all day and in many, many ways.  I am beyond lucky that he chose me.  As he has reassured me many times, my happiness is his happiness.  I don't know how I would have pulled through this difficult time which hasn't been easy for him as well.  I can only imagine the feelings and deep emotions that has stirred within him regarding his own Mom that passed away 5 years ago, and now having to watch his wife go through the same experience.
I am grateful for my sweetheart who has put my wants before his needs which doesn't seem fair in the least bit but to ask him to do differently would be like asking him not to breathe; nearly impossible.
Heaven knows of our struggles, but it also knows of all the love in my heart for him, for his patience and most especially his enduring love.
My cup runneth o'er.

Life Lesson: Prayer & Desire.

Yesterday (Monday), I wanted something pretty badly. I pondered heavily about it all weekend, and prayed about it too. I felt pretty peaceful after my prayers and thought that this good thing would be mine. This was a big step, which would require some discomfort on my end, but I was willing to endure it.
When I received the disappointing news, I was bummed, which only grew deeper. I started to get mad at God. I didn't understand the peace that followed my prayers. Didn't He know the longing in my heart and the desire in my soul? Why didn't this good thing become mine? I was so mad with Him. Why God, why?
But then this quote from Elder Richard G.  Scott came to mind:

How foolish of me to get mad at God! Am I an idiot?! What am I going to do when there's something bigger & better that I want and desire and I don't get it? I can't always get mad at God. Perhaps it wasn't in His plans for me to change job positions, at this time. I know He knows what's best for my life. I just need to have more faith in Him and do the work necessary for the blessings I desire. I need to more fully trust in His plan. I can't believe I got mad at God. What was I thinking?!
I'm grateful to have a loving Heavenly Father who knows my heart and my remorse. Man, does someone have a lot more praying to do!

Silent Night.

Tonight, I am in love.
I love my husband more than ever before. I adore him for all he does for me and the many ways he shows his love for me. I'll never know how I got so dang lucky!
I love and miss my family. I'm thankful I got to share a good dinner with my parents and spent time catching up with my sister, nephew and niece. I look forward to seeing them again, next weekend.
I love my dear sweet friends that I don't get to see often....such as Mama & Papa McK who gave us the beautiful handmade wall hanging.
I love my home, my safe shelter from the worries of the world and the stresses of life.
I love my Savior, whose birth we celebrate at this time of year. He is my perfect friend, who has been through it all. I am thankful for His example and hope I can be a better person this next week.

Attitude of Gratitude - Day 23: Church & Hymns.

Man, I couldn't be more grateful to have my new ward building less than a mile away.
It's such a blessing to have it so close.  Today, as I was sitting in church, I loved listening to the musical piece by a pianist, violinist and flute player (flutest?). It was a beautiful piece dedicated to Veterans Day & Thanksgiving.  It's nice to be in a ward with such beautiful talents.  I almost feel like I'm in a Utah ward.
The Bishop spoke about Tithes & Fast Offerings. It was a pretty good talk.
Today, I think I was more thankful to be sitting in the congregation singing the hymns.
I have a deep love of the church hymns.  They made many missionary miles seem shorter as I would hum or sing the hymns.  Sometimes, if I wasn't getting along w/ my missionary companion and I needed an uplifting thought, I would recite the words to my favorite hymn.
As I was singing the hymns, it made me think of the time I was in my ol' stake choir....something I always wanted to do, growing up.  It was such a beautiful blessing!! I truly loved singing that choir.
After Sacrament meeting, the older gentleman behind me said that my "singing was wonderful, just as beautiful as you!"...so sweet!  I'm not gonna lie, sometimes, that's the whole reason I go to church, I LOVE LOVE LOVE to sing.
As I was walking out of the chapel, I saw an old friend that I use to work at the temple with and was from my ol' Singles ward.  It was nice to see a familiar face, especially since I know like 1 person in the ward.
I hope that as I attend more, that I make more friends and hopefully get a calling soon enough.

Attitude of Gratitude - Day 17: Talents.

I thank my lucky stars for all my wonderful talents. I know that I have been abundantly blessed with the amazing talents I have. I'm not trying to brag, at all. Tonight, as I was painting some items for a colleague's baby shower, I couldn't help but think of how another colleague just handed me a box of items and basically said, "Work your magic! I trust you! I've seen your skills!" It's way awesome that this colleague thinks I'm just as talented when the whole office knows her as the creative one.
She gave me the colors & theme and I started to go to town. I've got several more pieces, but I love the starfishes!
I owe a lot of my talent to my Mom! Seriously, I wouldn't be the talented person I am today if I didn't have her challenging "encouragement". She taught me how to sew when I rather have played outside, when I was a kid. My friend & co-worker Tina ran into a bind when she needed some help with her Halloween costume. With her measurements, 1.5 yards of red fabric and black & white paint, I was able to create her costume. Not too shabby for just free handing it!
I guess my colleagues were convinced that I was talented when I came up with the idea for our Halloween decorations:
I must admit, I loved the lil paper fences and the trees, the best! People thought I bought the fences, but they were just cut out by hand. I don't know where this idea came from, I just drew it up as I saw others decorating their cubes. Everyone loved our decorations and my cube mates really enjoyed it! That made me so glad! I also loved decorating my pumpkin for the office competition :
It was so hard for me to throw it out after Hslloween!!
I'm glad my talents don't end there! When I became the Relief Society President, a couple years ago, I found myself cooking A LOT! I developed the talent to make soups! Oh how I love that talent and the joy of soups! In the course of one summer, I found myself cooking for a few regional and several ward acrivities! It was hard work, but I LOVED feeding my ward family! I still love to feed people, especially friends and family! I love the genuine gratitude they have when finishing a meal and their "Thank you! That was so good!" that they exhale as their waist band gets tighter!
^Thid was some Tongan food I made on Sunday, it's called Lu Puaka and the Taro root is in the background. Man, it was so good!! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE to cook?!?
Now that I am married, I've tried to develop my baking skills. This was the first Apple Pie I've ever made:
I've got say, it was perfection!! Seriously, I couldn't have made a more perfect pie! And my husband loved it! That's AWESOMENESS in my book!
So I've gotta say, I'm so truly grateful for the way I can make my little corner of the world a happier, enjoyable and more colorful place to live. I will never cease to thank my God for the way He's blessed my life! My cup runneth o'er!
{Matthew 5:14-16}
"Because I have been given much, I too must give...."

Attitude of Gratitude - Day 5: Answered Prayers.

Almost every morning, before I leave for work, I say a prayer.  I have so much to be thankful for, but I also have so much I need.  I know my Heavenly Father knows of those needs & wants, but it's always good to ask and be vocal about it.  I usually pray for the same things, because those are the things that mean most to me.
I always prayer for safety and protection as Levi & I travel about the city.  I know how bad traffic can be, so I always pray for heavenly protection upon us.  I pray for my parents, that they have patience with one another and treat each other well.  I especially pray for my Dad that he be kept safe and upright because of his advanced age and lack of eyesight, he has fallen several times.  I'm always worried that his next fall might be the worst one yet.  I pray for my sister that all is well in her life, and my nephews & nieces that they make righteous decisions.  I know how hard jr. high can be, so I especially want Heaven's choicest blessings upon my niece.  I pray for special blessings upon my oldest nephew as he prepares to marry his fiancee in the temple, this coming winter.  I also express my sincerest gratitude for my sweetheart Levi and the true blessing it is to be his wife.  Sometimes, I ask Heavenly Father that the traffic be light, just because it gets so crazy on these freeways here.
Today, my morning was definitely answered, in the most visible way.
I was in one of the two left turning lanes, waiting at the world's longest red light.  The Mini-Cooper in front of me kept egging on the light.  I was the second car in the lane.  Once it finally turned green, we started to go.  Two cars in the other left turning lanes were already through the intersection, when all of a sudden the Mini-Cooper in front of me slammed on their brakes.  We weren't even near the middle of the intersection and I didn't understand why they were so impatient 20 seconds ago and now at a sudden stop!  A couple seconds later, a car came flying through the intersection!!! It had to be going about 60 mph.  Due to the timing of it all, it would have most likely taken me out.  I was just floored.  How can people be that selfish to think they can run a red light and it'd be ok?  After driving through that intersection, I drove a little slower because the thought of my morning prayers came to mind.
So many times have I prayed for safety and protection and all is well on my daily commute.  This morning, my prayers for safety were answered in a very real and very true way. How many times have I prayed for something and didn't notice the answer?  I hope that hasn't always been the case.  Today, I feel like I need to be more aware of my prayers being answered.
I know my Heavenly Father answers my prayers.  Usually it's in the way I desire, and other times, it's in ways that help me grow & become better.  Today, I am so tremendously grateful that my prayers were answered in exactly the way that I needed and wanted them to be.

Song of the Heart

Yesterday, in Fast & Testimony Meeting, a brother bore his testimony of the hymn, "I Am a Child of God", that was sung in the General Women's Meeting the evening before.  It was neat learning that Naomi W. Randall, who penned the words to this beautiful hymn, had a daughter in our ward. In Relief Society, we were given the challenge to think of a hymn through out the week, during times of happiness or sadness and anytime in between.  I love the hymns.  I love the hymns, "I Stand All Amazed" and "Have I Done Any Good?", but the one that touched my heart so much last night was, "I Am a Child of God".
I love this hymn, I always have.  I remember when I was a young girl in Primary, I would cry every time we sang this song. It just made me so sentimental to think that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. It also made me think of my parents that I loved so much and our home, all of which came from God.  I was probably about 4 or 5, but whenever we would sing it, I would walk over to my Mom (who was a Sr. Primary teacher) sobbing and wanting to be held. Instead, she would turn me right back around and send me back to my class row.  :(  {I think it was just her way of teaching me to grow up and be reverent...at least that's what I'm hoping}  I've always loved this song because I think it's such a simple way to know why we're here on this Earth and where we go after this life.   It's one of the first songs that are taught to Primary children.  How reassuring to know, at such an early age, that you have a Heavenly Father who loves you so much, that he would give you earthly parents to teach you everything you need to know in order to return back to Him.
I'm not gonna lie, I still tear up a bit whenever I sing this hymn.  These days, I like to think that this is the song I'll rock my sweet little babies to, as I put them to sleep.  I want my babies to know that they have a loving Heavenly Father who wants them to be good and learn & do all that they can, so they can return back to Him someday.  What a sweet message of hope and love!

I Am a Child of God

1. I am a child of God,
And he has sent me here,
Has given me an earthly home
With parents kind and dear.

Chorus
Lead me, guide me, walk beside me,
Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do
To live with him someday.

2. I am a child of God,
And so my needs are great;
Help me to understand his words
Before it grows too late.

3. I am a child of God.
Rich blessings are in store;
If I but learn to do his will,
I'll live with him once more.

4. I am a child of God.
His promises are sure;
Celestial glory shall be mine
If I can but endure.

Birthday Blessings.

A couple weeks ago, my parents told me that they wanted to take me out to eat for my birthday.  They said to choose a restaurant and we could invite a few people.  Yesterday, we went to eat at one of my most favorite sushi restaurants, in Imperial Beach.  When Levi and I showed up, we were a few minutes late, but my parents, sister, nephew, niece, cousin's family & aunt were already there.  I walked in and they started cheering.  I hugged & kissed everyone then walked over to the seat that had a birthday balloon tied to it.  Next to my seat was a huge gift bag and several other birthday bags on top.
In the middle of the table was a red & white birthday cake.  Needless to say, I felt so special.  The rest of our party showed up and then we ordered some yummy goodness! Man I love me some sushi, tempura shrimp & veggies!
I was lucky to sit next to my Dad and get to chat with him.  It's always so good to see my Dad.  Time seems to fly by between each visit and it makes me miss him so much.
After we ate, we did the whole birthday cake schpeal and opened gifts.  Whenever it's my birthday and people are singing "Happy Birthday to You", it's always a lil awkward.  I never know what to do. Most times I just stare at the candles and think of my birthday wish.  Sometimes I just wanna sing along.  It's just an awkward moment...
My Mom got me a Red Velvet Cake.  It was really good!  I really love Red Velvet Cake!  I was touched that she remembered my favorite cake.  So delish!

Afterwards, I opened my presents.  I got a soy coconut candle.  I can't wait to burn it! It smells like surf wax, I love it!  Makes me miss the beach even more.
I also received a shell box with a pretty shell pendant.
I also received a card with some money from my Aunt K. It was so nice of her.  I was just so touched by everyone's kindness and generosity.
The gift that touched my heart so deeply, was the big gift bag from my parents. Inside the huge bag was a box that had many different things wrapped up in it.  My parents got me (us) "Chinese plates".,,,Asian themed...whatevers, you get the idea. (I hate having to be so PC sometimes!) Anyways, I was, am, still so touched by their gift.  I wanna cry just looking at the plates, saimin bowls, rice bowls, and soup spoons they gave us.
I feel like it's a little piece of my family here with me.  My Mom & Dad will never know just how touched I was by everything they did for me.  Even as I type this, I'm crying because I just want to embrace my parents dearly and thank them for making me feel so special on Saturday.  This little birthday party was probably the nicest, kindest, most generous, and thoughtful thing they've done for me.  I can't wait to use the plates & bowls.
I think I'm also quite sentimental over their generosity is because I miss them.  I wish we lived closer to them because sometimes it's hard not seeing them daily, if not weekly.  I will remember this birthday luncheon for a very long time.  Just all of it, every detail that my parents had a hand in, has touched me so much.  I just want to thank them so much.  It was so tremendously thoughtful and I will remember this for a very, very long time.

Blogging in bed....again!

Sometimes, this is the only time I get to blog. Unfortunately, it's when it's dark & I've already taken my contacts out. I really need to get myself some glasses!

•Work has been CRAZY BUSY!! Since Roxy has been out the last 2-3 weeks, we've been swamped! The client calls have been overwhelming at times, especially since Chuy has been busy training.  I couldn't be more grateful for this upcoming 3 day weekend!! I'm not looking forward to our Receptionist being out next week! I already feel like we're short staffed on our team. Plus, my special weekly project comes back and usually I get a week to complete it. However, next week I only get two days, which will unfortunately be the two busiest days for my team.  I think I'm gonna need another 3 day weekend after that!

•My birthday's coming up! Super duper stoked!!! Not gonna hide it at all!!

•Went to Joe's Crab Shack after work, with Mamacita. So fun!! Delicious appetizers and I totally loved my banana/piña colada smoothie!

Oh yeah.... And the dessert was scrumptious!!

•Have I mentioned how glad I am to be working with Mamacita again! We met at our last job 6 years ago. I never thought we'd be working together again!

• As always, I am grateful for this husband of mine that keeps me laughing and fills my heart with unconditional love. A couple days ago, he said that he had a surprise for me, this Friday! Man oh man, I cannot wait!! I love surprises!! Especially his surprises!!

Man, I love my life!

The Nephews & Niece.

What a great week it's been.  I mentioned in an earlier post that my two oldest nephews came down to visit.  Man oh man, I LOVED having them all in one place.  The awesome part is that in a week I'll get to see all of them all over again!!
I love them, I love them oh so much!  Sometimes my heart can't take it that they've all grown up so fast!!  They are some of my most favorite people on earth!  Heaven knows how much I enjoy being around them.  I know we've certainly grown closer together in the last few years.  I wish I could have them all under the same roof again.
I love the way we can joke around, tease each other to no end and laugh about so many funny family memories. I'm so grateful to know that I will have them for an eternity.  I just hope we get a deck of cards & Monopoly to enjoy for the rest of time.

Dear 2 Boys & 2 Kids,
Stop growing up.
Love,
Your dear ol' aunt.

T-minus TWO WEEKS!

Man, I'm so tired.  The last week and a half has been quite emotional which always takes a toll on my Meniere's Disease.  I hate it.  I hate when stress enters my life.  I'm glad that some people in my life understand what stress does to my Meniere's.
I had a pretty mean migraine on Wednesday.  I had my two computer screens switched out for larger ones and they happened to be extremely bright.  I didn't quite realize it was that bright until I had Chuy take a look at it.  I just figured that's how the screens always were.  Ugh.  Awful night.  Stupid extra strength Tylenol did nothing for me.  I got up at 4am, took an Aleve and started to feel better instantly!  I've had a small lingering headache for the last couple days, which only makes sense since my period started. Now I just want to sleep and lounge around all weekend.  I'm so physically tired, yet there's so much to do.
I can't believe that our wedding weekend will be here in TWO WEEKS!! 15 days from now, I'll be married!!! Part of me feels overwhelmed, but yet I just can't wait.  I'm excited, anxious, stoked, thrilled and everything good under the sun.  I get to marry the man who makes my life a million times more happier, lovelier, richer and funnier.  Every day, he gives me a reason to love him 10x more than the day before.  Today he knows that it's been a doozy for me and he got us pizza for lunch. Pizza, my most favorite meal on earth! To thank him for it, I stopped by 7-11 before he got home w/ the pizza.
He's just so good to me.  I never dreamt that I'd get this lucky.  I love him more than I've ever loved anyone in my life.  Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing me so abundantly.

Late Thursday.

*I'm so truly grateful for the kind friends and loved ones who have encircled me with an abundance of love and understanding, this week.  Man, I feel like a million bucks! My loved ones are the greatest and in turn it makes me want to be a better friend & kinder person to everyone.

*This week has been such a doozy.  I can't wait for this weekend! My 2 oldest nephews will be visiting! It's been so long!! All my nephews and niece, in one place.  This makes my heart happy

*I don't have a lot to blog about, tonight.

*I'm excited to celebrate Hermanita's birthday tomorrow.  Man, I'm constantly reminded of the wonderful souls I have in my life that truly bless my life in more ways than one.

*THREE of my friends had babies this week!  WOW!! Crazy exciting! I love them all and wish I could visit all of them and snuggle their babies.

*I had a dream of Tina, Chuy & Chuy's nephew, last night.  It was weird to dream about a baby.  When I told Tina & Chuy my dream, they both said I was next to have a baby.  Uh....we'll see about that.  Oh how I love sleep so much!

*Speakin of which... I better hit the hay!  Peace out!

365 days & 30 minutes ago....

On this day, 365 days & 30 minutes ago, my sweetheart proposed to me.
I'm a lil more sentimental this weekend because I think back to that weekend a year ago and it was all just so magical.  I had one of the best weekends of my life and enjoyed all of it.
I've learned so much in the last year.  I become more grateful for Levi every day.  He teaches me so much.  He has many strengths that help strengthen areas that I'm lacking in.  I'm glad we bring a nice balance to each other's lives.
I'll always be grateful for this moment, because I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him.  I love him more every day.  I never knew what it meant to love someone with all of my heart until I met Levi.  I can't wait to become his wife because he's truly my best friend.
My cup runneth o'er. ♥

Happy Birthday SimiSimSim!

Today, this kid turns 24! Seriously, TWENTY FOUR!! First off, I was just 24 and he was a kid!! How in the world is this lil guy:

now this man of twenty-four years?!
Time has flown by way too quickly! I don't remember much of his birth day, except that I remember going to the hospital to go visit him the next day (later that day?) to go see him.  I remember I was in 4th grade and was tripped out that I had a nephew! I was an aunt! I always felt like he was more of my younger brother, than my actual nephew.  However, I'm grateful that he's always respected me as an aunt, but treated me like an older sister.
This year, I am touched by his birthday request.  He requested, via Facebook, that we all go out and do a random act of service for someone.  Seriously, that made me so proud of him! That touched my heart so deeply.
I love my nephew Sim.  He's got a very good heart.  He truly does.  I know that he is always one I can count on to say something uplifting and to see the good amongst the muck of life.  My wish for him on his special day, is that he finds peace in all areas of his life.  He deserves it...and much, much more.
Happy birthday SimiSimSim! I love you!

Spoiled!

Today was quite a spectacular day at work.  It's Administrative Professionals Day!  Wow...it was just so nice being appreciated for what I do, day in, day out.  This is probably one of the best companies I have ever worked for.  Seriously, I feel spoiled every day I get to work in the office that I work in.  It's just an all around great firm.  I mean, I feel spoiled by the benefits that I get, along with the beautiful office we get to work in.  Everyone I work closely with is so tremendously nice.  I don't know what more I could really say about it--it's just awesome!
My managers got us Einstein bagels, which went perfectly well with my morning yogurt.  While Tina and I were training, our lead came around presented us with froyo gift cards since we don't drink coffee.  I thought that was especially thoughtful that she remembered that and was kind enough to give us froyo gift cards!  Sweeeeeet!  I love that there's a froyo shop right outside of our building! Score!
For lunch, we were able to relax in the big conference room and enjoy some Taco Express.  The name doesn't even do it justice! I was expecting something kinda lame, because of the name, but man oh man! It was DELISH!! There were platters of beans, rice, carnitas & shrimp rancheros, along with chicken flautas! It was very pleasing being able to take a lunch with my co-workers, enjoying some appetizing Mexican food.  We were also given a tumbler cup with chocolates & single serving Crystal light mixes.

All around, it was a pretty great day.  Man, I do not take this job for granted.  It seriously fell out of heaven when I needed it most.  I thank my Heavenly Father every day for blessing that it is.  I couldn't be more grateful.

Happy birthday MamaSteph!

Yesterday was my best friend's birthday.  Eleven years ago, we were able to celebrate her birthday and Easter together, on the same day.
It's been over 6 years since we've seen each other.  I miss seeing and talking with her in real life.  She lives on the east coast with her cute little family and I wish I could just hop, skip & jump over there.  I'm so grateful for her friendship.  She's such a blessing to my life.   She is one of my most wonderful blessings from my mission.

Kalanster & the big 19!

Today, this baby boy.....
...who turned into this...
...and somehow quickly grew into this...
...is turning 19 today!

It's been such a pleasure watching him grow up, for all of his life.  I still remember the night I walked into his Mom's hospital room, in the Spring of my high school freshman year.  It was a school night, so I was thinking we wouldn't really be there that long.  I just kept thinking of how foreign it was that a new baby boy was joining our family.  For so long, it had just be "the two boys", his older brothers....what would it now be like with THREE nephews??  Such an unfamiliar feeling that there was someone new in our family.  I remember holding him and thinking how happy we all were that this baby boy was finally here.  I still feel that way to this day.
He's definitely become one of my favorite people to hang out with.  I can say just about anything and he doesn't freak out nor do I ever feel judged.  There's many reasons why I love this kid.  I've been thinking about some of those reasons today.  He reminds me A LOT of my Dad.  They both have the same tenacious (read: stubborn) attitude.  It's not a bad thing...I'm quite similar to my Dad in that factor.  Perhaps that's why Kalanster and I get along so well.  He can be very thoughtful and I've truly cherished the way he's been such a terrific older brother to his sister.  He is a talented young man, especially when it comes to music.
I've never worried about Kalanster because he has always found a way for his ideas to come to fruition.  Such a great quality to have in life.  Of all the birthday wishes I can hope for him, I hope all his musical dreams are achieved.  The sky is the limit for some, but for him, there's nothing that can stop that tenacious spirit of his.
Happy Birthday Kalanster!
I love you more than you'll ever realize.  Hope you enjoy your birthday weekend.
And in case you didn't know, I miss seeing you every day. I love you buddy.

18 months and counting!

Dear Levi,
You have made me the most happiest woman for the last 18 months.  Every day I fall more and more and more in love with you.  You are my best friend because you keep all my secrets but you also tell me what I need to hear over what I want to hear....although sometimes you do tell me what I want to hear, in which I'm grateful.  You listen to me vent, and you patiently wait til I choke out tears so I can try to express my deepest feelings.  Sometimes I wonder how you do what you do, but however you do it, I'm tremendously thankful.  I never thought I'd get this lucky, but I did... and it's more than I could have ever dreamed of!  I can't wait to be your wife...the best is yet to come!

I love you to the Chinese Space Station and back!

-Ehu.

To the rescue!

Today, I'm so thankful for my sweetheart.  I'm thankful that he's the kind, caring man that he is, that he wouldn't leave me stranded at work with a flat tire.  I told him that I would figure out a way to take care of my tire and get home.  Even though I would have found a friend to help me change my tire, he still came all the way to my work to help me out.  I'm grateful he came because after pulling everything out, I found out that my spare was a little flat. No bueno.  I wanted to try to change it myself, since my YSA bishop taught our Relief Society a couple years back.   Once Levi came, I broke the news to him that my spare was also flat and off we went to the gas station.  We came back and he changed it for me, then followed me home.  He was so calm and patient throughout it all, and especially as we drove 50 mph on the freeway.

Every day I'm more grateful for him.  I always wanted to find a man that could do all the manly things that my Dad did.  For the last several years, I'd get so bummed/frustrated whenever I had a car problem.  Car problems are the bane of my existence.  Thankfully, I've had my sister but now that I live away from my family, I'm so truly grateful for this man of mine and his many, MANY talents.  My cup runneth o'er. <3 font="">

Good Friday!

This morning, as I approached the elevators, one of the elevator doors opened up before I had to push the button.  I've noticed this every morning for the past week.  I love that! I like how the building attendants greet me in the morning and then call the elevators before I even reach them.  It made me smile as I rode up to the 9th floor.  Then I was greeted with a hearty "Mornin!" by Will, one of our front receptionists.  It made me happy, especially since it was Friday!
During my morning break, I went outside for some fresh air.  On the way back in, I waited for the elevators with another woman.  She mumbled something about being sorry about her squeaky wet shoes, from the rain outside.  We both walked into the same elevator, then I looked up and realized that it was an old co-worker.  It made me so happy to see a familiar face!  I really enjoyed working at that old job, so many great times with such fun people!
As much as I really enjoy my job, I just wish I had a familiar face or a good acquaintance there.  It gets a little lonely being the new girl.  Almost every day for the last 3.5 weeks, I'd eat my lunch outside and then call Levi.  At my last few jobs, I always knew a person or two beforehand, so I already had a friend to begin with.  For lunch, I went over to WhichWich and came across the new temp in the office.  As I left the office earlier, I wanted to ask if she was going to WhichWich again since I had seen her frequent the eatery for the last week.  When I picked up my lunch from the counter, I saw her and I stopped by her table.  I ended up joining her, we talked while we ate and had some good laughs.  Ahh....I was making a friend at work.  It was just nice to be able to get to know someone who was new to the office as well, someone I could relate to.  It was very pleasant.
I loved the surprise that awaited me at home.  It was unlike any welcome home I ever had.  Oh how I love my Levi.  Plus an Italian dinner....mmm mmm lasagna!  I also got to talk to my nephew Bub tonight.  Man how I love that kid.  I just love my nephews so much because they're like younger brothers and good friends, wrapped up in one.  It was a good talk full of laughter.  I love laughing with that guy!  I miss him so much.  Oh how I wish I could have my nephews and niece all under one roof again.
I'm so grateful for the big and small blessings of today.  I'm grateful for safety of traveling to and from work in the crazy rain today.  I'm so thankful for the job I have, it's just so great. I'm thankful for the good news my best friend received in regards to her unborn baby boy.  I wanted to cry with such happy grateful tears.
Good Friday? Yes indeed!
A lil gem I spotted at the stoplight, on the way home tonight.  Not everyday I see my name on a license plate.
