*I haven't blogged for a while, I think I was recovering from all this engagement excitement! I love being engaged to the bestest man in the entire universe.
*Speaking of which, one of my nephews got married this past Friday.
They were married up in Logan, Utah. I'm happy for his happiness. I wish them the very best! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it up there for their wedding, but I'm grateful for all the pics I was able to see moments afterwards.
*My whole family went up to Utah for the wedding and man, can I just say San Diego felt VERY lonely! I mean, I know I had Levi, but it's a whole different feeling when every single member of your family leaves. I haven't really felt that since I lived up in Utah for school. I think I'm very much my father's daughter--I need family members surrounding me.
*I had a wonderful time with Levi, this weekend. I just love spending time with him!
*Church was good today. I hung out with Hoddie today. Oh man, she makes me laugh!
*My very good friend Dixie came to town on Thursday. Hermanita, Arbro, Dixie & I went to Lolita's in Bonita for some super delicious Mexican food!! Oh man, seriously, I LOOOOOOVE Mexican food
*As far as wedding plans go.... we're thinking of next spring. I'm glad. I'm not in a rush to start all this wedding planning craziness!!! No way, Jose! No thanks! This is a good thing, because it gives us a lot of time to spend at the gym. Can I just say how much I like working out with Levi?! Sometimes, it's a lil hard because we make each other laugh, but I'm glad we're doing this!
*I'm looking forward to the 4th of July. I LOVE Independence Day! It's the best! I love celebrating this great country......with bbq's....at the beach.....with fireworks!! Love it!
*Ok....I'm out! Peace!

Utah, again ♥

Yesterday, my parents and I flew to Salt Lake City. It was quite a change from the 10 hour drive from Utah that I just did last week.
I think it's starting to hit my Mom that her younger brother has passed away. I'm grateful I can be here for my parents at this time.
I'm also truly grateful for a loving Dad. I thought I was here to help him out and around Utah...but even blind people can be of service.
It's been a couple years since I've been on a plane and was quite nervous. Dramamine helps, but it was a lot of rushing around without sleeping the night before. During turbulence and take offs, my Dad let me hold his hand tightly. I was nervous and air pockets don't help. It was very loving and reassuring that I could reach out for my Dad's hand everytime and he wouldn't mind...and he would keep his hand out just in case I needed it again. I guess you're never to old to hold a parent's hand♥

As of late...
So I got back from Utah this past Wednesday..... and I'll be headed back up there this coming Tuesday.
I'm kinda thinkin' that I should have postponed my original trip. Oh well, I'm going back to Utah for a better reason.
It'll be nice to support my Mom, aunts & cousins during this time. It'll be wonderful to reflect back on the life of my Uncle Ned. I'll surely miss him, a lot.
So...it's back to Utah....a week later. However, I'm kinda thinkin' of moving back there. I know I CANNOT STAND driving in the snow--which was ultimately the reason I moved back (after I spun my car). But I just need change in my life. Change can be a good thing, sometimes.
Well, I'll definitely be thinkin' it over......A LOT.
Other than that, nothing too exciting has happened lately. Sometimes, that's also a good thing. And with that said.....Adios.

Wow....Utah!
The Good:
I also forgot how much of a 'boy buffet' it is here. Oh I love that so much!! Any public outting is always filled with eye candy :)
I went to lunch with one of my good ol' friends, Mary. It was so WONDERFUL spending time with her. It was great talking with her and it didn't feel like we hadn't seen each other for 2 years. We ate at Macaroni Grill and the food was TERRIFIC today!! I L♥VED IT!! Heck, even the Ceasar salad was amazing! I love the Chicken Scallopine there!! Good food, great company!
The Sad:
I missed seeing my Uncle Ned by about a day...
He passed away a few days ago. It was somewhat expected, but I would have really loved the opportunity to see him before he passed. I'm grateful now for the chance I get to visit with my cousins. I am truly grateful I got to see him last August in San Diego while he was still up and about. He really did a lot for me while I lived in Utah, a few years back. As a poor college student, I never went hungry or felt homesick. I could always go to his home (& just walk right in!) and make myself at home. Even though I grew up in California and would visit his family every so often, I felt very much like a part of their family. I will miss him terribly, but I know for sure, that I will see him again. I know.

I cannot and will not drive 10 hours again. It is extremely rigorous, more than I remember. I don't know if it's because of my Meniere's/Vertigo---but it really takes it outta me. Gosh, I don't want to say it, but....'maybe I'm not as young as I use to be'. I use to LOVE the 10 hours of open road to think and ponder about life. Last night/this morning, it was TERRIBLE!! NO THANKS!! Never again!!

(801)&(435)
So I'm thinkin' of going to Utah. I mean, what else do you do when this happens:
I've been wanting to go to Utah for a while now. I've talked about it SEVERAL times within the last year...now I've finally got the time to go. I like the drive. I'm glad that the weather is cool right now. It'll be nice to get out of town for a bit. I mean, who gets fired and then plans a lil vacay? Um, me?
I'm stoked to get my Pie Pizzeria on and to see some family & friends....especially one friend in particular. Well actually, he's the only friend I'm REALLY planning on seeing. I'm stoked/excited/nervous/anxious to see him. Probably more nervous than anything!! Hmmm...oh man!

Utah!
I seriously need a change of scenary! I CANNOT wait til I can get away for a few days to UTAH!!! (Aug 10-13) I was looking over old pictures of my time in Utah and just got off the phone right now with my cousin Kema.

I cannot wait to see her and just hang out "talking story" with her. She's the closest thing I have to a sister (besides my own SIL). She just had another baby and I can't wait to see her!
As I'm anticipating this Utah trip, I can't help but remember all the good times I've had there and all the friends that still live there (or near there...) I can't wait to see them!! I feel like I'm going home, but not exactly...does that make sense? I mean, I really enjoyed my time up in Utah and I feel like I'm just going back to something familiar. I love having that feeling.

Utah....Quando?
I'll be in Utah on August 10 - 13. My family and I will be taking my oldest nephew to the MTC. I know one afternoon/evening will be dedicated to introducing my family to the GREATNESS of The Pie Pizzeria. So anyone who wants to see me will have to meet me then....which means, I hope to see EVERYONE I love in Utah, at the Pie.
The End.

I LOVE GENERAL CONFERENCE!!
I love listening to our inspired leaders. I love hearing the choir sing! I feel spiritually rejuvenated. Wasn't it all so wonderful?! I loved listening to the Primary children sing, "I Am a Child of God". They sounded so heavenly! I really started to miss living in Utah as well. I seriously want to go to the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional in December! I LOVELOVELOVE seeing Temple Square covered in snow and Christmas lights. It's so pretty. It's my favorite time of year to see the Christus statue as well. (Wow, I can't believe it's been almost 3 years since I last saw Temple Square during the holidays!...That was my date Mark, MOST FUNNIEST first date ever!! )
General Conference has really made me appreciate and value my membership in Gospel. I'm truly grateful to know there's a plan and purpose to this life. I'm glad to have the Gospel in my life. How much easier life is with this knowledge. I am blessed. What a wonderful weekend it's been. I'm sad to have it end...Oh well, time to practice what's been preached.

The [real] Lake House??
Last night I was tinkerin’ around on LDSLinkUp when I came across a random guy who also happened to be online. I checked out his photos and the background in his last pic looked strangely familiar. I emailed him and asked if he had ever lived in Orem,Utah. He said, “I actually live in orem right now...why do you ask?”. I told him that his last pic happened to look like my ol’ neighborhood in Orem and wondered if it was off of ### South street. He responded with, “LOL...did you live on “H” drive? cuz that is where the pic is from…” In shock, I told him that me and two roommates lived at ### “H” Drive. He didn’t think I’d believe his astonishment and then wanted me to guess what number his house was, but it didn’t matter once he mentioned CrazyAmy/Landlady and the HIDEOUS wallpaper in the house!! WOW!! So we ended up on IM and I greeted him with, “Well hello neighbor!” and he replied, “What do you mean! We’re practically roomies!” CRAAAAZY!!Anyone up for watchin' "The Lake House"?
