Concert @ Soma.

I cherish any time I get to see my niece & nephews. They are such a bright spot in my life. I just can't believe how fast time flies. I think the last time I saw these two kids were on Father's Day! Now my niece is exactly my height. It makes me so sad that they grow up so quickly. But I'm lucky. I am so incredibly lucky because I appreciate the personal relationship I have each of them. I wish I could see them every single day but I'm lucky I can call them and they'll actually pick up, amongst the busyness of their exciting lives.
I'm lucky and beyond blessed to be their aunt.

BIRTHDAY!

Dude . . . today's my birthday!
I love today.  I love the love that abundantly showers me from all across the world, from such sweet, thoughtful loved ones.  I like counting my blessings on this special day of mine.

*I'm thankful for my dear sweet love of my life.  Being married to him feels like my birthday and Christmas combined, every day.  He makes my life so much more thrilling, funnier, fuller and special in each and every way.  I will never know how I got so lucky to find someone who loves me so much, patiently understands my quirky tendencies, and celebrates my talents & skills.

*I'm glad to have the relationship that I do with my nephews & niece.  They are such a bright spot in my life.  I have had the beautiful blessing of having a first row seat to their lives.  They are such tenderhearted and funny spirits.   I love them with all of my heart and I'm blessed to feel their love in return.

*Even though I don't see my parents everyday anymore, I'm grateful for all that they've done for me.  They can be the most selfless individuals in my time of need.  There are many things that they have taught me.  I can only hope that they've always tried their best to be my parents.  I know that I've tried my best to be a good daughter to them.  This is what life is about; learning to be our best self.

*I always wanted a sister growing up, I didn't know that I would find one in my sister-in-law, turned ex-sister-in-law, now sister.  She has taught me so very much.  She is a very good parent to her 4 kids because of the way she listens and observes their individual needs and talents.  She has a good heart and has always been the best cheerleader anyone would want in their corner.

*I'm grateful for my friends.  They accept me for me and love me so much.  Heaven knows I'm not perfect, but I always try my very best to be a very good friend.  I'm so lucky that I'll get to celebrate my birthday with a few of my closest oldest friends, this weekend. So excited!!  But seriously, I love them all.  They bring so much laughter to my life.  I love my friends who share their cultures with me and most especially the unity we always have over good food.  I'm grateful to always have a friend I can call up and say, "Hey, wanna go grab some tacos?" and sure enough, either one of us will show up late, but it's the fact that they showed up.  Love my friends!

*I love my home that I have with my husband.  It's cute and quaint and special because I feel like it's a safe haven of peace, love and laughter.  I'm sure it's because of who I share it with. :)

*I love all the blessings that I've received from my Heavenly Father.  I'm thankful for the talents that I have and the opportunity to cultivate new ones and share all of them.  Sometimes, I like to step back and think, "Dude, I just did that with my two hands!"  I love the pure knowledge and testimony that I have that He lives, as does His Son, Jesus Christ.  I'm not the best Mormon, heaven knows I have my downfalls, but I try my best to do good and be good.

*I love my life.  It's comfortable and happy and oh so funny.  Today, I love it 34,000x even more!  Happy birthday ME! :)

T-minus TWO WEEKS!

Man, I'm so tired.  The last week and a half has been quite emotional which always takes a toll on my Meniere's Disease.  I hate it.  I hate when stress enters my life.  I'm glad that some people in my life understand what stress does to my Meniere's.
I had a pretty mean migraine on Wednesday.  I had my two computer screens switched out for larger ones and they happened to be extremely bright.  I didn't quite realize it was that bright until I had Chuy take a look at it.  I just figured that's how the screens always were.  Ugh.  Awful night.  Stupid extra strength Tylenol did nothing for me.  I got up at 4am, took an Aleve and started to feel better instantly!  I've had a small lingering headache for the last couple days, which only makes sense since my period started. Now I just want to sleep and lounge around all weekend.  I'm so physically tired, yet there's so much to do.
I can't believe that our wedding weekend will be here in TWO WEEKS!! 15 days from now, I'll be married!!! Part of me feels overwhelmed, but yet I just can't wait.  I'm excited, anxious, stoked, thrilled and everything good under the sun.  I get to marry the man who makes my life a million times more happier, lovelier, richer and funnier.  Every day, he gives me a reason to love him 10x more than the day before.  Today he knows that it's been a doozy for me and he got us pizza for lunch. Pizza, my most favorite meal on earth! To thank him for it, I stopped by 7-11 before he got home w/ the pizza.
He's just so good to me.  I never dreamt that I'd get this lucky.  I love him more than I've ever loved anyone in my life.  Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing me so abundantly.

Dude, I survived!

Man, today was a VERY busy day!
First off, the traffic is pretty horrendous, especially since I have to drive by the local university. Ay caramba!
I think I'm going to leave an hour before work, tomorrow.  Luckily, we have a parking garage so parking isn't a nightmare.
I was with my trainer all day, learning the ins and outs of my job.  Luckily, I'm surrounded by nice people so I'll feel comfortable asking for help.  I like that everyone enjoys working there, that really helps make me feel more at ease with learning this new job.  I met 95% of everyone on our floor (there's 2.5 floors that belong to our firm), it was a bit overwhelming.  Today, I think I've come to realize, that with a name like mine, I do not have the luxury of being shy.  Out of all the people I met today, I think I can remember about 30% of their names.  I don't think I've gone into what it's like meeting people for the first time, with a name like mine.  I'll go more into that, tomorrow.
My trainer said that I did really well, for my first day.  I like hearing that!  My cubicle neighbor said that on his first day, he went straight home and fell asleep until the next morning.  When I heard that at 10am this morning, I thought it was a bit much.  As 5pm rolled around, it sounded like the best idea ever!  So far, I like  my job and I don't feel overwhelmed, but we'll see what tomorrow brings.
I wish I had a picture of my cubicle, but it's a lil boring right now since I'm barely movin' into the space.   For now, here's a picture of the break room.  I love love love how there's fresh fruit available for the taking, that's really terrific!  I like how well-stocked this break room is, especially since there's an ice machine and drinking water! Juuuuust perfect!  All in all, I think I'm going to definitely like working here.   I just feel so incredibly lucky that I landed this job!!  I definitely have counted my lucky stars and thanked my Heavenly Father.  My cup runneth o'er!

#lucky

This is how I looked like at work today.
I was there physically, but mentally I was already dreaming of my bed at home.
Have I mentioned how much I dislike being sick, most especially when I have to go to work?
But then I came home to a wonderful surprise....
While at work, my sister and I were talking about how much I love lobster bisque. How lucky was I that my Levi surprised me with lobster bisque from Panera Bread, as well as Hawaiian sweet rolls! How did he know?!? I don't think I've ever mentioned how much I love this soup. He even bought me more soup for my lunch tomorrow.

Sigh.

He's just so good to me! Man am I lucky!
So so so lucky!
