Life...in early April.

*As of late, my life is mostly work.  Do I like my job? Well, I like what I do and now I'm starting to train for covering reception.  Oh man, a lil daunting, but I think I can definitely hang.  It's a different phone set up and making sure we connect the caller to the right "account manager" or one of their team members, is still something I'm learning to do...especially since everyone goes by their initials.  Eh, it's part of the job so I'll do what I gotta do.

*I'm so glad I've made a friend at work, Tina is pretty chill and I'm glad that she gets my jokes.  It's just cool having someone understand how I feel about work, since we started within a week of each other.

*This past week, I was able to reconnect with some ol' friends.  I LOVE spending time with dear, old friends.
Tat, the the guy on the left, and I have been friends since single digit Primary days.  Dixie's in back and we've been friends since 2007, right around the same time I met Hermanita, on the right.  As each year passes, I'm ever so grateful to have the same group of close friends.  They're friends who accept me exactly how I am and know me so well, and vice versa.

*Levi and I went to see Captain America 2, today.  Oh maaaaaaaan, I totally dug it!  So dang good!! I liked it more than the first, since it had more fighting scenes.  I'm not gonna lie, Capt. America is easy on the eyes, but it's really Iron Man that wins me over EVERY TIME!  He has AWESOME toys and his intelligence is definitely something to admire....along with that cocky attitude.  But I don't need a superhero.... I already have my Mr. Amazing ♥

As of late in late, late June.

*I haven't blogged for a while, I think I was recovering from all this engagement excitement!  I love being engaged to the bestest man in the entire universe.

*Speaking of which, one of my nephews got married this past Friday.
They were married up in Logan, Utah.  I'm happy for his happiness.  I wish them the very best!  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it up there for their wedding, but I'm grateful for all the pics I was able to see moments afterwards.

*My whole family went up to Utah for the wedding and man, can I just say San Diego felt VERY lonely! I mean, I know I had Levi, but it's a whole different feeling when every single member of your family leaves.  I haven't really felt that since I lived up in Utah for school. I think I'm very much my father's daughter--I need family members surrounding me.

*I had a wonderful time with Levi, this weekend.  I just love spending time with him!

*Church was good today.  I hung out with Hoddie today. Oh man, she makes me laugh!

*My very good friend Dixie came to town on Thursday.  Hermanita, Arbro, Dixie & I went to Lolita's in Bonita for some super delicious Mexican food!! Oh man, seriously, I LOOOOOOVE Mexican food

*As far as wedding plans go.... we're thinking of next spring.  I'm glad.  I'm not in a rush to start all this wedding planning craziness!!! No way, Jose!  No thanks!  This is a good thing, because it gives us a lot of time to spend at the gym.  Can I just say how much I like working out with Levi?!  Sometimes, it's a lil hard because we make each other laugh, but I'm glad we're doing this!

*I'm looking forward to the 4th of July. I LOVE Independence Day! It's the best!  I love celebrating this great country......with bbq's....at the beach.....with fireworks!! Love it!

*Ok....I'm out! Peace!

Unexpected Visit!

I received an unexpected visit from my dear friend, "Dixie"*.  I met him about 5 years ago when he returned from his mission.  He seemed like a quiet, chill and funny guy and he's still the same way.  I love him dearly and miss him, since he lives out of state.  He's just one of those guys that seem more like a cousin than just a 'guy-friend'.  I guess it helps that we've never had any awkward sexual tensions because one of us liked the other.  We're just kosher.  :)

We went to eat at Tacos el Gordo (TJ style tacos) and then hit up the beach, walked the Imperial Beach pier and ate ice cream--in 45deg. weather.  It was delightful!  It's always nice to hang with Dixie, because it feels like our friendship picks up right exactly where we last left it.  I'm so grateful to have him in my life and call him my friend.

*As for his nickname, that's what I actually call him in real life. Whenever he use to call me on my house phone, the caller ID popped up as "Dixie F_________", which was is his grandmother's name.  It just stuck and we can't help but chuckle whenever I use it.
