What the funk?

*I've been having a funky stomach week.  No bueno.

*We've been watching Parenthood on Netflix lately.  Totally dig this show! I always enjoy movies/shows that display different family dynamics.  There's something so interesting in seeing how families interact and deal with their own challenges and triumphs.

*Chuy was talking to us about Vans carrying some new Star Wars shoes.  I'm not the biggest fan of them, I barely started getting into it, but man oh man... I want these shoes! Oh how I love Vans slip-on shoes!

*The Del Mar Fair (aka: San Diego County Fair) starts this weekend! OH MAN, I'm pretty stoked! I think this is a really great way to start off the summer! I can't wait!! Plus, Levi just makes it a million times more fun! I'm glad he enjoys the Australian Battered Potatoes, but most especially that he's cool with me looking around at all the photo & art exhibits.

*Work has been pretty okay this week. I continue to be grateful for my team.  I enjoy working with Roxy, Chuy & Tina.  I'm so glad that Mamacita works there too! I just wish she was in my department, too.  Although, it's been pretty good this week, man oh man, I can't wait for the weekend!

*Other than that... I hope I kick this stomach funk because I've got a fair to go to this weekend!  Oh yeah...today's Thursday and my sweetheart got me some Pizza-Hut tonight. Man I love when Thursdays include pizza.....that's the cherry on top of a Thursday!

A Tuesday Quickie....

*I enjoyed dinner with two old friends tonight.  It was lovely catching up with them and being friends in real life.  I LOVE seeing friends in real life, since we mostly communicate via Facebook & Instagram.

*I'm really enjoying work.  So far, nothing feels overwhelming, which is great!  When I interviewed with them, it sounded like it would be 100x more difficult, but I'm glad I'm understanding everything coming my way.  It was a great boost of confidence today, when my trainer said I'm doing awesome and picking it all up very quickly.  I'm so grateful for all the job experiences that have led me to this point in life.

*I'll be seeing my parents tomorrow.  I feel like every time I see them, they age a year older.  Oh my parents, I wonder what it would have been like to be friends with them at my age right now.  Isn't that something to think about.

*I'm excited for Valentine's Day/Weekend!!  I think I'm even more stoked to have Monday off so I can sleep in.  Seriously, I've been dragging myself out of bed every morning.  I don't know why I'm so exhausted?! Perhaps it's because I have to be at work an hour earlier than my last job and I have to leave an hour before I start (work is 12 miles away, but traffic is terrible!)  Anyways, back to Monday... Happy Sleep Day, to me!

*I just realized that tomorrow marks the 10 year anniversary of returning home from my mission.  Seriously, 10 years??!? Ten years since this picture!!  Wow.... I was so young, on so many levels. I'm so grateful for the life experiences that I've had since then.

*Now that I feel old, I should get to sleep.... It's already hard in the morning, no use making it any harder!  Good night, world!

Dude, it's Monday.

*This picture makes me laugh!

*I always have THE BEST weekends with Levi! He's just so much fun and we laugh so much.  I just realized this morning, that yesterday was our monthly anniversary.  Lucky #13!  I love that man!

*So I'm into Walking Dead, now.  Sometimes, when I'm driving, I like to think about how I could survive a zombie apocalypse.  Yeah....it's really random, but you never know...it could come in handy, someday. {but I really hope not}

*I survived Day 1 of my sister not being in the office.  My motor mouth coworker and I didn't strangle each other.  Then again, we're still in the "honeymoon stage".  We've still got 5 more days together. Pray for me.

*Movies I can't wait to see: Bad Grandpa, Gravity & Thor.

*My iPod that I've had since 2007, that had 11,000+ songs, died.  It just quit working.  I didn't drop it, and in fact, it was in really great shape!  I'm so bummed.  So I bought a used one (I didn't really care) and so far I only have 800 songs on my iTunes.  Sad, sad day.  I'm bummed that I lost so much music, but honestly, I wanted a new iPod.  My old one was engraved from an exbf.  However, I have to return the "new" one because it's acting weird and not downloading my 800 songs.  Lame.  I think I'll just myself a (real) new one, after all.  Happy Thanksgiving to myself.

*Ok, I'd go on with the randomosities, but I'm gonna go home now.  10 hours chained to my desk makes for a very long day.

Hump Day/Valentine's Day Eve Randies....

*Man, I own A LOT of stuff. Seriously, it's almost just too much STUFF.  As much as I love all my picture frames, I either need to hang all of them or take the photo out and just put 'em in photo albums.  I look around and I just feel like it's a bunch of clutter.  When my cousin Andrea & her husband came back from Fiji, they got rid of A LOT of their stuff because they felt like it was just TOO MUCH compared to what Fijians had.  She was so glad for it, and since then I've tried to have that same mentality.............but I feel like I'm failing at it.  Try again, Ehu, try again.

*Last night, at Young Womens Volleyball practice, I ended up playing a 2 vs. 6 game.  One of the girl's Dad offered to team up with me to play a game against the girls.  I wasn't really expecting to play a game, but man, it felt so good!  He's a strong partner, which makes a world of difference!  We were dominating over the girls, and as happy as I was about that, I was also worried about how the girls were playing.  Their first game is in a week and a half, with one more practice next week.  We'll see how it all pans out....

*Man oh man, I am ECSTATIC for Valentine's Day!  I'm so excited that I'll be able to see Levi, after his class, since we'll be going to our favorite Chinese restaurant for dinner.  We LOVE Panda Inn, so we'll be celebrating Valentine's Day as well as Chinese New Year that was this past Sunday. All in all, I'm just over the moon to see my sweetheart. More so, it puts me one day closer to see my Valentine's Day gift that he's been working on for the last several weeks.  I'm not the most patient person, so I've been trying to egg him on in telling me what it is!  He knows me too well and NEVER falls for it. {darn it!} I'm also super stoked to give him his Valentine's Day gift on Saturday.  YAY for Vday weekend celebrations!

*So after FHE on Monday, two friends complimented me on how well I conducted FHE.  Honestly, I get so dang nervous having to conduct that meeting, so I told them, "I would rather sing a solo in church than have to conduct FHE"....and then it happened.  No more than 5 minutes later, I found myself talking to the music chairman/ward organist, offering to sing a solo, since she was out of options & pianists (and was going to sing a solo herself, but the accompanist wasn't going to work out).  I said to her, "If you're REALLY desperate, I can sing a solo, of a song that I've sung at church before" and she quickly accepted.  Suddenly conducting FHE didn't look too bad anymore..... man, I'm a lil nervous.  Ok, let's be serious here, I'm WAY nervous.  Whenever I've had to sing at church, I always hope to have a friendly face to focus on, because it makes it a loteasier to feel relaxed.  Plus, it's always been reassuring to know that at least that one friendly face will still love you in the end, in case I messed up.  When I had to sing this song for the first time, back in CVYSA, I had Mama McK, Mr. Red & my entire family there to support me.  I was so nervous, and due to the beautiful lyrics of the song, I was overwhelmed with tears after I sang.  It was nice to look up and see such warm and friendly smiles from my loved ones, as well as reassuring texts.  I'm just really nervous to be singing a solo again.  I hope to have at least one reassuring face in the congregation that'll still be my friend in case I butcher my song.  Sometimes, ok, maybe all the time, my nerves get the best of me.

On my mind.....

*I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song! It's the song that Peej sang to his Habibi.  I love the lyrics, they're so sweet and endearing.

*Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays are the LONGEST days... :(

*I can't wait til Friday when I get to see Levi again!! Oh man, he makes me smile and I miss him so much when I'm not near him.

*I love my sister and grateful to have her to talk with.  I'm so blessed.

*Have I mentioned how much I really, REALLY miss him when I don't get to see him.... sigh.... Friday....so close, but so far away.....

Vibe.

*I shouldn't be bummed, but I am. I miss Houston, terribly.  I miss his morning texts that I received EVERY morning.  Long story short, he reiterated the fact that he only wants to be friends, right now.  At least I tried, I put myself out there and could only hope that he would share the same feelings.  Oh well, I tried and I'm happy I did.

*I couldn't be more grateful for my dear friend Izzy. God sent me an angel to console my aching heart, in the very moment I needed one.  I don't like to let many people see me cry. To me, that's always been a sign of weakness.  She let me cry without making me feel stupid or weak.  She didn't judge anything that came out of my mouth.  She was the best friend that I needed in my time of sadness.

*From a Facebook post left on Ash's page: Remember how we talk about not throwing stuff out in the universe, unless you want it? Last night, I was thinking of an ex that I tried contacting months ago, but found out he had a new number. I was wishing I could talk with him because we haven't talked in a couple years. This morning I woke up to a text from him!!!! Out of the blue!!! Crazy, right?!?! He said that he was just thinking about me and wondered how I was doing. Ok, now I need to start thinknig of winning the Mega lotto tonight....   {And no, I wasn't lookin' for a "rebound", Riddler lives in Utah, no possibility there}

*My niece Novee's birthday was on Tuesday.  She's 11 now! I can't believe it!! Time flies by so quickly! I'll have to do a birthday post for her!
*Went to the beach yesterday, man it was bitterly cold!!! The sun was out yet it was so windy! I got some sun on my pale legs and arms (as you can see above). I tried biking the Strand on Tuesday, but geez Louise, it was SOOOO windy! Biking into the wind was HARD!!! As I biked from the Strand to the beach in Imperial Beach, I think I saw Houston driving away from his place. I didn't want to look at him, I would have turned to mush. ANYWAYS, have I mentioned how much I LOVE living in San Diego?!?! I need to find a place on the beach! I just can't get enough of it!!

*I'm kinda stoked for the weekend and the upcoming week! I'll be going with a friend out to her family's place in Palm Springs to celebrate Passover.  I'm excited for the change of scenery, as well as the opportunity to experience Passover again.
*Tomorrow's the Farmers Market in Imperial Beach. I was/am really looking forward to going to it tomorrow. Part of me hopes to run into Houston, but I think my poor heart wouldn't be able to handle it.  Imperial Beach, I've fallen in love with you.....but sometimes, it hurts to see you.

Friends, Work & Stuff.....

-Wow, what a cool, wonderful week....makes me feel a lil randi.....
-I can't believe it's Friday and I start work on Monday.  I'm stoked...and a lil nervous. But more stoked than nervous.  I'm especially giddy about my 2nd day at work! :) More on that later....
-I can't get enough of this blog. It makes me look forward to motherhood with anticipation and enthusiasm. She's so positive and uplifting about life, family and everything in between. LOVE IT!
-I got to hang with my ol' CV5 (ward) friends this week.  I truly love them and am grateful for their friendship.  They mean so much to me.
-Oh how I love cardigans!! I wish I had one in EVERY shade & color! Or at least dark purple and mustard yellow, to start off with....
-Tomorrow is my new ward's "Thanksgiving at the beach" in La Jolla. I'm kinda excited about it.  I'm thankful Berkeley said he'd go with me. It's nice to have a friend at this functions.
-My sister comes home on Sunday. I'm glad. I love my sister and couldn't be more grateful to have her in my life.  (sidenote: she's actually my sister-in-law...well, to be technically correct, she's my ex-sister-in-law, but to me, she'll always be my sister). My hat goes off to her and all mothers, especially single parents. Parenting is a hard enough task, so to do it alone, that is quite a feat. She's blessed with children who love and appreciate her.
-Hmmm.... I think that's all I have on my mind right now. Can I just say how STOKED I am for Monday! Wow, it'll be here before I know it! I'm so excited, I want to go put my outfit together! Geez, I sound like it's my first day of school or something.... anyways... Happy Weekend! :)

The 2am Post.

-Just got home from dropping off a birthday present...Happy Birthday Mr. Red!

-I need to breathe and relax when certain moments become intensely heated and tumultuous.

-I feel like I keep running into a brick wall, regarding my talk for this Sunday...or in other words, for tomorrow.

-I think I may be getting sick.  I'm feeling all nasel-y.  I know that's not a word, but I'm having nose issues. I feel like I have to keep blowing my nose and my eyes are watering and sensitive.  My face feels warm and I feel like curling up in bed, for while.  Not good...considering...

-I. NEED. TO. FIGURE. OUT. SOMETHING. FOR. MY. TALK.!!!

-Hello Nyquil...........G'nite.

Wednesday + Free time = This Blog Post

Hello my dear friend Randi......

*I think I actually like pink...as girly as that is. I have a love/hate relationship with the color.

*Man, I'm hungry!

*I've had the wonderful blessing of hangin out with Mama McK the last 2 days. She has truly been an enormous gift to my life! She's been like a second mother to me, these last few months. I will be so heartbroken when her and her husband's mission ends in July. That is something we try not to talk about around Institute.

*I'm so stoked for my youngest nephew to start his Volleyball season at school. I can't wait to watch Buddy play some Vball!! I can't wait to support him thru his Vball season. He's such a good kid. I think he has so much potential for greatness. I love him dearly.

*In a matter of months his older brother will be back from his misison. Oh I cannot wait!! It's been so long!!

*Man, I'm not looking forward to the next 19 days to go by :(

*School's going pretty well. Something I learned from Mama McK that the way to get through college is to do all the assignments, which will pass the class. And then pass all the classes I need and that's who I'll graduate from school. When it's broken down like that, it doesn't seem so overwhelming. I've just got to keep in mind that I'm working towards my dream. It's going to take WORK.

*I can't believe it's MARCH already?!?! Where is the time going?!?!

Wednesday, January 26, 2011

Because it's Wednesday....

*Man, this song that I chose is rather hard. There are some difficult parts. I feel like I'm learning how to read music for the first time. I'm SO grateful for such an AWESOME accompanist who is patient and beyond helpful!

*Sleep is so detrimental to your health...mental, physical, emotional. I didn't know how badly I've missed it lately. I almost wanted to bite my own head off.

*I hate gossip. I dislike people who think they know you well enough to gossip about you. LAME!!

And with that said....Happy Wednesday!

Update: Randi style....

So I need to blog more often...but we'll just go for a randomonium entry for now...........

-I SHOULD be doing homework right now. But I'm a lil tapped out on being in front of a computer, reading. ((yes yes, I know this totally defeats the purpose))

-My hand hurts from writing the world's longest letter to my dear friend StephaniePatricia (aka: "Hermanita"). Oh I miss her so much. She leaves the MTC this Monday for Albuquerque. I'm so excited for her. I miss her so terribly.

-I'm REALLY enjoying being on this 'Brown Guy Train'. Why did I have tunnel vision for ONLY Caucasian guys? I guess it's cause I grew up liking surfers. Honestly, it's cause I grew up around Brown guys and wanted something different. No, I'm not racist because I didn't even dig Polynesian guys as well. For 2 reasons. #1: They end up being related somehow. #2: They end up looking like someone I'm related to. But seriously...I'm liking the Brown. It's fun!

-I started back up with school. I know, right?! School...who would have guessed! Luckily it's the online program with BYU-Idaho. BYU-Hawaii was the ONLY BYU school I ever saw myself attending....so I'm kinda going through a lil shock {I'm not a fan of BYU--GO UTES!!}. Actually, I saw this as an opportunity to getting into BYU-H when it came time to transfer. I had/have 3 goals for my life:
*Serve a full time mission for The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints.
*Graduate from Brigham Young University-Hawaii
*Marry in the LDS Temple
So, I've only completed 1 out of 3 goals in my 30 years of life. Kinda shabby, but I'm gonna die trying!!

-When does Glee come back on?!?! I'm soooooo missing it!!

-I shaved my head again. Several of my friends wondered, "WHY!?". First off, it's only hair--it grows back. Second, it's also a personal reason. Third, I honestly feel prettier without my hair. I know that sounds weird to think, "Hmm, a woman feels prettier without hair?! HOW!??". As much as I love my curly hair, I feel like it got all the attention. Without hair, I feel like people actually look at my face. Which means I have to step it up a bit and make it enjoyable for these people who are looking at my face. I never realized how truly beautiful my face is, like my big brown eyes, or my long eyelashes, the curves of my eyebrows, my cheeks as I apply blush (that I LOVE to wear now) or my full lips. It's been a blessing going through this experience. I feel more confident without hair. I'm sure strangers wonder SO many things when I'm not wearing a hat, but honestly, I don't really care what they think. I know who I am and I know why I have a shaved head.

-Soooo, my crush caught me tonight..... We ended up talking tonight and he's seriously a very chill guy, a cutie and such a sweetie! I can't wait to see him again. Hmm...for now, I think I'll call him, Captain. :) I've known Captain for the last several years. We'd talk whenever we saw each other at church, but I wouldn't exactly call us friends. He was always so nice, but I NEVER had an interest in him....til I saw him last Sunday. When he walked into church, I did a double take and then proceeded to watch him walk in. (Oh the blessings of playing the organ: I get to sit in front of the whole congregation and watch everyone.) I felt myself starting to blush, because I became SO nervous!!! I was suddenly viewing Captain in a whole new light!! I wanted to talk to him after our Sacrament meeting (services) but he took off before I could. Anyways....back to our texting & talking tonight. [I got his number from my wingman] I was flirting with him and teasing him a bit....til he totally called me on it. Literally. It was cool, cause he finally figured out it was me and told me to not be a stranger and hit him up again! Man....he's HOT!!!

-I'm GIDDY/ECSTATIC to wear my new Bohemian dress!! I miss my short straight hair, because I would totally bust a 'Farrah Fawcett" if I had it. Eh, it's cool... I'll just rock the accessories!

-Other than that..... Life is A-Ok.

NOT another Manic Monday!! :]

*Had the BEST weekend!!! Seriously, AWESOME!!! LOVED. EVERY. MOMENT.!! The Christmas Concert for our stake was terrific!! So much fun and all of our hard work paid off!! Wow! So glad!

*Hung out with CC & Steph all weekend....FABULOUS!!

*Got to see Mr.Red all weekend, as well......LOOOOOVED IT!! Cuddled & talked.....pretty amazing weekend, if you ask me ;) Perma grin status, for sure!

*The weather was BEAUTIFUL all weekend!! Almost perfect beach weather...and it's winter!!! HAHAHAHA!! I love it!!

*I'm so giddy happy!! It's been a while since I've been 'smile all day' happy!! I can't smiling. I'm glad the storm clouds have passed and the sun is shining again....it's about time :)

*I feel so blessed with such genuine and easy going friends. The last couple of weeks has been CRAZY/HELL and it's nice to know that I have friends that make the load of life a lot easier. My cup runneth over.....

*I seriously can't stop smiling over the AWESOME weekend I had. And this Monday ain't too shabby either! It started off quite nicely with a lovely lil text message! :) And the best part is, it's just gonna get better!! I. Can't. Wait.!! Plus this weekend is my ol' company's work party...I'm stoked to see all of my ol' friends there!! Awww Mr. NY will be there ....WOW!

*I love the Mckenzies! They run the Institute of Religion for my congregation. They're from Idaho and I LOVE EVERYTHING this woman makes!! After I take a bite of anything she makes, I always think, "God bless Sister McKenzie!!". It's like manna from Heaven!! Plus, they're just the sweetest and kindest couple alive. Elder Mckenzie has an infectious smile! I can't help but smile so big everytime I see him! I just wanna hug and squeeze the stuffing out of them both! It's like seeing Santa Claus all the time! Ahhh, I just love them so much!!

*I'm actually a lil excited to play the organ at church next Sunday. It's been a while and it's been so enjoyable getting to sing the hymns at church. I'm a lil nervous, but I know I can do it!

*I've been studying the Bible more. I hate being ignorant about certain stuff. A friend teaches Sunday school at church and I'm tired of hearing stories from the Bible that I SHOULD know. It's pathetic. But I love the class because he makes the Bible come alive and it's so fascinating with all of it's stories.

*Ok, I'm seriously so happy, it's ridiculous! Happy Monday everyone!!

Tuesday, December 7, 2010

Monday Monday....

*Finally started "The 30 Day Blog Challenge"...from almost 2 months ago.

*I can't stand unpacking...but it is a lot better than packing. Hands down!

*My bed's now lopsided. I don't know what happened during the move, but it definitely tilts to one side now. :( GRRRR.... I miss my once perfect bed....stupid moving!

*I love Sister McKenzie (one of my Institute teachers). EVERYTHING she makes is like manna from Heaven! No joke!! Every time I take a bite of something she's made I can't help but think, "God bless Sister McKenzie". She would definitely put Martha Stewart to shame!!! I hope I grow up cooking and baking just like Sis. McKenzie!

*I ate at Tacos El Gordo twice in one day. Once at 12am and then tonight around 9pm. Yeah, I can just feel my clothes getting tighter.

*And apparently it's Christmas... I still kinda hate the holiday, aside from the Christ part. I hate the commercialization of it. It sucks all of the Christ part out of Christmas.

*This Saturday is the Stake Christmas Concert. I'm so excited to finally be singing in one. Last year, I couldn't because my Meniere's was at it's worst. I'm nervous because I'm not 100% comfortable with ALL the songs, but I'll do my very best! Handel's "For Unto a Child is Born" is pretty tricky. The running part is definitely something else.... if I can just ace it, then I'll feel fine. Good luck to me. Other than that, I just hope I don't trip during the processional and don't sing during the wrong parts. We'll see.....

Randi meet Friday.....

Hi Randi, it's been a while....

-Tomorrow is the start of this weekend's US Open Sandcastle Competitions in Imperial Beach!! I'm so stoked!! I can't wait!

-I'm so glad that my nephew, Elder L will be home in a year!!! A YEAR!!!! THANK GOODNESS!! I miss him so much!! I cannot wait to see the adult he's grown up to be!!

-Bubba, my second nephew will be celebrating his 18th birthday tomorrow. I still remember when he was born!! Has that much time really flown by???

-So I haven't seen my BFF for about 2 weeks. Seriously, I'm bummed that it's been that long. Sure we text, but to actually talk in person is waaaaay better. :( I'm going to try hard not to be too bummed. Ugh...I hate it when life gets too busy!

-Ok, that's all I really have on my mind. Thank goodness it's Friday.

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Tuesday.

Dear Randi, it's been a while....

-I love my dear neighbors who leave their WiFi on for all the world to use! Bless their heart! :)

-I watched "Toy Story 3" today, always so good!

-I think I need a job...well, I know I need a job. Having a job soon would be nice!

-Speakin' of jobs, I went by ol' office today. Talked with Mamacita and got to see Mr.NY. He's still as beautiful as ever. Oh my poor heart... he's gorgeous.

-

I miss my cousins from 2 weeks ago. It was so wonderful seeing all of them in Utah. I miss these two cousins in particular...Kanani & Kema.

As well as my cousin, Kenikeni: He's my favorite Chef ever. He always makes me the best food, especially his hash browns & Chicken Cordon Blue. Oh I love my cousins.

-Other than that....Hmm...I went on a date last Tuesday. It was ok. I wasn't really feeling it. Nice guy, but I don't really see a future with him.

-Alrighty...til next time, adios!

Wednesday's Randomonium Symposium

*Ever since I went to Disneyland for my birthday, I have desperately wanted to get back!! I had such a FANTASTIC time! Seriously, you have no idea! There seems to be radio stations giving away a 4 pack of tix and I WANT THEM!!!

*I wish it was Thursday...or Friday. Oh why can't this week go by faster?!

*I'm thankful the courts are closed today! I love Furlow Wednesdays! It's like getting paid to come to work and do nothing :)

*I'll have to work on the day after Thanksgiving. Okay by me....I hate shopping, so another day of getting paid to come to work and kick it with friends! Niiiice!

*I'm not ready for Christmas---AT ALL!! This time last year I was already done Christmas shopping for 10 people!! UGH!! This is gonna bite, hard!

*I wish I'd either get sick or nothing at all....I feel like I've been 15% sick the last few days. I'd rather be 100% sick for 2-3 days then 15% sick for 2 weeks!

*New Jersey: I need to go soon! I miss it! I miss the members! I miss everything about it!!

*I feel bad that most of these 'Randomonium' lines have "I"....I feel self centered!

*Can I just say, I REALLY miss the feel of a man's face. Lemme explain...I miss being able to snuggle up to a man. I love that closeness that comes with trust & love.

*ok, that's about it.....I'm tired and could REALLY use a nap!

"Mumble", such a weird word...so is 'Weird'.

Feeling a lil randi...

-One of the drivers from work fell today. He broke his desk chair and fell flat on his butt/back....like he WIPED OUT!! The funny part is that he had TONS of coins in his hand when he fell. Him and his chair hit a couple of desks and chairs and the coins went flying EVERYWHERE. A driver who was close to him said, "That was just like the cartoons!".

-Tomorrow's 'Office Softball Day'! I'm stoked that my friend PajamaPants will be there with his BoyToy. I get to hang with Mr.NY and PajamaPants--HAPPY DAY!

-I like this picture:

-My 19 y/o nephew goes thru the Temple this Saturday. I can't believe that he'll be in the MTC in less than a month!! Gone for 2 years...to the Fiji Suva mission. I feel like I should be hanging out with him more. I'm going to miss him a lot, but I know this is a VERY good thing to happen in his life.

And I think that's about it....

R is for Random.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this version of this song!!! I could listen to it a million times over! I love Adele! I love when her voice gets a lil raspy! Oh I love this song so much!!

What else...I bought Twilight on Saturday. Oh man, I love Edward!! And I still like that guy from the Temple who looks EXACTLY like Jacob Black. I swear, EVERYtime I see him the words "Team Jacob" shoot across my mind!!

Apparently it must say "Desperately Single" on my forehead or something? At my 'Dilemma' last week, my friend told me that she was going to bring along a friend for me so I wouldn't have to show up to the dinner by myself--amongst friends with their dates. I'm kinda thankful she didn't, it's been a while since I was set up for a blind date. Then today, I get an email from another friend wanting to set me up on a blind date with her co-worker. I think I've hit that stage in life when your married friends want to hook you up with all their other single friends. I thought that only happened to adults. When did I become an "Adult"? AAAHHH?!

I'm kinda disappointed in myself today. I totally missed a golden opportunity to share the gospel. My co-worker and I got on the topic of 'missions'. I mentioned to him that my soon-to-be 19 y/o nephew was going on a mission. He shook his head in disbelief, wondering "how [we] do it?" I kinda shugged it off saying, "We just do". Then I really started to think of what I really wanted to say. I really wanted to tell him this, "We go on missions because when we believe in something that's true and brings so much happiness, we can't help but want to tell it to the world! To share it with everyone!" That's what I wanted to tell him, but I missed my chance. My window of opportunity was gone. In the times I pray for opportunities to share the Gospel, it was been specifically to "recognize opportunities to share the Gospel". I think that is where I fail sometimes. *sigh* Oh well, there were be other 'chances for work all around just now, opportunities right in our way' soon enough.

Random Schmandom!

I have so many things on my mind....

-I found a car I LOVE, but don't know when I can get a chance to look at it...considering it's a 40 min. drive away. UGH!! It's PERFECT!! I NEED IT NOW!!

-I want to plan a wedding...random, I know! Luckily my visiting teaching partner, Nashelli, is getting married in March. I'll be helping her with the flowers! Hey, something's better than nothing, right?

-I called in sick on Friday, I'm feeling much better. I'm sure staying in bed all day Friday and Saturday reading "Eclipse" really helped :) I'm loving "Breaking Dawn" thus far. GO TEAM EDWARD!

-I can't wait til Summer!! I LOVE SUMMER!! April 6--San Diego Padres Opening Day!!! WHOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

-...and with that said, I'm still mad that I haven't done anything about replacing my gym pass. GRR!!

-I'm really looking forward to Nashelli & Luis' wedding. I'm the only friend they invited to their Temple sealing. I'm so stoked!! Plus, it's a Mexican reception--HELLO GOOD FOOD AND DANCING MUSIC!! I cant' wait. Should I even try finding a date?! Nah!

-...crap, now I really should do something about that stupid gym pass. DANGIT!!

-ok, it's past midnight and I need/want to read somemore. I can't wait for another 3 day weekend! WWHHHOOOOOOOO!! Dang, I want that car!

-oh by the way, my family ward is having a Valentine's Day sock hop. For some CRAZY reason, I'm really excited to go. I already have my outfit too!! Thank goodness I saved my Halloween costume!

Tuesday's Randomonium Symposium

*As I was walking out of the office today, I looked over at Mr.NY's desk and I THINK I may have seen my note up on his cubicle wall. I think. I'll have to check tomorrow.

*I got to talk to one of my best friends tonight. She's 4.5 months pregnant with her first baby. I couldn't be any happier for her. Tonight's phone call was like the cherry on a sundae! Awesome!

*I went to the Military/Navy Commissary tonight. I've always wanted to see what it was. I heard it was a grocery store, but to actually see it was neat! Most of my friend's Dads were in the Navy so the Commissary was brought up a lot, growing up. It was a lot cheaper than regular super markets. Got to see some Military personnel in their uniforms. I don't know what it is, but a man in a uniform is quite a lovely sight!

*Steph and I talked about how awkward it is when someone's shy. I know what that's like. I know that when I become extremely introverted or shy, I tend to be a lil awkward. It's not easy being shy. Sometimes I wish I wasn't too shy in new situations. It usually depends on who I'm with. If I'm with friends that are quiet, then I'll usually step up and break out of my shell. If I'm with friends that aren't in the least bit quiet or shy, then I'll usually step back a bit and be a little introverted. Odd, I know.

*The weather's been B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L lately!! My gosh, it feels like Summer's right around the corner. I can't wait til Summer!! Baseball season! I get to watch my boys, the Padres! The beach! BBQ's! 4th of July! I LOOOOOOVE SUMMER!
