I just wanted to remember this evening out with my sweetheart. We went to Filippi's in Santee, had the usual family combo of spaghetti, lasagna & ravioli with a meatball. We talked about the upcoming Fall season and our Fall traditions. We smiled a lot, teased a bit and enjoyed each other's company, immensely. I truly love evenings like this.

January Weekends!
What a crazy, fun, exciting, adventurous month it's already been!
Levi and I went to Disneyland & California Adventure last weekend! SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!
Gotta love being a So.Cal resident and being to go to both parks for just $124! Loved it! I think the Matterhorn Bobsleds is my new favorite ride at Disneyland! Tons of fun! I'd never been on it before and it was awesome! I also went on Space Mountain for the first time and...well....that was quite the experience. Not one I'm looking to relive anytime soon. Or ever.
We headed over to Windansea and took a couple more photos. It was a great spot to shoot photos at sunset.
I kinda wished I had my big camera, since there were so many great photo opportunities....so I thought we'd take some photos of each other....
I was lovin' the waves that crashed on the cliff behind us.
However, if you start to notice a shadow of a wall of water, then you should probably move away--FAST!! {but if you don't, you end up with a great photo--see below}
Then this is what your next photo will look like...
Yep, I was drenched all down my backside, from head to toe! My new Nikes were soaked! I mean, I was rather lucky because if you go back and look "wall of water" photo, you'll noticed that there's a photographer back behind my right elbow. Levi said that the photographer, along with all of his photo equipment, got wet! Oooh, not good.
All in all, we've had some pretty fun weekends! I love when we have our weekend adventures! Especially when it follows our Friday night date nights!
As for next weekend, I look forward to hangin' out with my ol' childhood best friends! Until then, here's hopin' this next week becomes an answer to my prayers!

First anniversary... first date, pt. 1.
This past Thursday, October 3, marked our one year anniversary (of dating). I can't believe it's already been a year. Part of me wants to type some sort of sappy, lovey dovey blog... but I've been thinking a lot about our first date.
Our first date was on Sunday, September 30, 2013. I wanted to keep it simple and just grab some frozen yogurt in Coronado. I was going to have a busy day at church, and Levi's exact words were, "You've had a long day, I want to feed you." I couldn't help but think, "Wow! This man wants to take care of my needs???" He was already SO different from the other guys I went on dates with, earlier that summer. He not only wanted to see to my needs, but he actually had suggestions!
When I got home late from church, I was EXTREMELY NERVOUS!!! I tried asking him if he was nervous, but with his happy-go-lucky attitude and chipper voice, he replied that he wasn't. I wanted him to be a LITTLE nervous, so I could feel justified in my extreme nervousness!!! I don't know how else to describe my nervousness, except to say that I even thought about cancelling our date because I had never been this nervous for a first date! Even after he pulled up, to pick me up, I was still thinking about "rescheduling" because I was nervous out of my mind!!
"Would he like me?" "Would there be enough chemistry to gave a good conversation?" "Would he think I was cute?" So many questions filled my mind!!
As I walked up to him and his car, he was waiting outside of it, ready to greet me and open my door. I didn't know how to act! He looked so dashing and beyond cute!!! I remember getting inside his car and thinking of how clean it was! He got in and we headed off to Buca di Beppo, in downtown San Diego. As he drove, I think he was wearing his sunglasses, which made him look super hot!! And made me even MORE nervous because I couldn't see his eyes. As he drove, I'd look over at him while we talked, and his arms were so manly--thick with the right amount of hair. I just wanted to touch him, and feel his arms. {I'm a touchy feely person, but I also like to touch those I'm communicating with}. When we got downtown, it took a bit to find the restaurant and parking. What really struck me about Levi was that he was SO patient in the crazy downtown traffic, one-way streets and lack of parking. He was unlike any man I'd ever been on a date with! We finally found an Ace Parking lot that was close enough and parked. As we started to walk towards the restaurant, our hands brushed up against each others. I would apologize and he made no big deal of it. Just as we were going to cross the street, he grabbed my hand and held it. For a split second, it startled me but then it just felt so sweet and comfortable, but most of all safe. I felt so safe holding his hand and it was such a reassuring comfort especially walking downtown. As we rounded the corner, we surprisingly found ourselves right in front of Buca di Beppo! We walked in, and our host showed us to our table. We were then asked, "Are you two celebrating anything tonight?"
Several things came to mind....

Weekend recap: 3...maybe 4 things.
*My niece, Novee, just started her first season of Softball. Seriously, and this might sound a lil biased, but she's REALLY good!!! She hits exceptionally well, catches the ball 95% of the time and her throws are spot on!! I'm glad that she's as enthused about it, as much as we all are! I can't wait til her next game because it's just so much fun to watch her play!! Maybe I'm a lil too enthused about it, because I can already see her playing for the Womens National Team in the 2024 Olympics. Calm down, Ehu....it's only her first season.
*Man, I LOVE taking photos of and with this man....
On Friday evening, we had dinner at Big Kahuna's in Imperial Beach. This place is probably one of my top 5 favorite restaurants {the other 4 probably being pizza places}. It has a good variety of burgers & Hawaiian plates. LOVE IT!!! Afterwards, we went to the drive in, which is always one of my favorite date spots! I think they've upgraded the South Bay Drive-in because it's now digital and the quality is A LOT better than earlier this year. We watched The Conjuring, which I actually liked, as far as suspenseful films go. All in all, I had a great time with Levi on Friday & especially Sunday, he's the best part of my weekends! {Oh yeah, and thanks again for my laptop, Levi. You're so good to me.}
*I’ve really started to enjoy my ward, lately. I’m really grateful for the acquaintances who have become close friends…people I actually want to have a relationship with outside of church. People that I like communicating with and who just “get me.” It’s just such a nice feeling to have friendships grow. I like that. A lot.
*I like Maroon5, but man, their stuff lately has been OFF THE HOOK!!! I just want to listen to EVERYTHING they've put out lately!! Or at least in the last 3 years, since I've missed out on quite a bit of their music. Man........ I LOVE IT!

Friday Night Dates!
I'm so glad that this man loves our Friday night dates, just as much as I do!
Oh I love him so!
{by the way....I wonder if we could get away with me just taking our engagement photos. All my favorite photos with this man, have always been me holding the camera & taking our photo.}
I'm not really serious.....but maybe...kinda sorta.

Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow.
YESTERDAY: Levi and I had dinner and ate TONS of crab legs. My mouth is watering just thinking of all the crab legs we had for dinner. It was scrumptious!!!! Especially when paired with BBQ pork ribs! LOVE IT!!
TODAY: I was able to talk with my very best friend MamaSteph. I miss her so much!! It's been 5 years since we've seen each other.
FAR. TOO. LONG.
I can't wait til we're hanging out again, like real friends do. I miss seeing her facial expressions, while she laughs and most especially watching her hands as she tells her stories. I miss her completely and terribly!
I also got to spend time with Mr. Red today. I am going to miss him so much, but I'll blog about that later...
TOMORROW: I can't wait to see Levi. We're going to the drive-in to watch The Croods & G.I. Joe. I seriously LOVE the drive in!! I think I'm more infatuated with being able to talk during a movie and not disturbing anyone....except Levi. Oh how I fall more and more in love with him.

Good, Bad & Ugly: Weekend Edition.
Good: Had such an awesome weekend with Levi. I love nothing more than just spending time with him. I was able to have a "Ladies Day" with my niece & sister. Ate at the new Filippi's restaurant here in town. We also hit up Oasis Ice Cream, because honestly, that's the BEST ice cream here in town! There's just something so lovely about spending time with female relatives. I enjoyed a dinner party at Ame's and it was fun hangin' with the Peebs {some PB ward member friends}. Plus my Young Womens Volleyball team won BOTH of their games on Saturday! Oh I felt like the proudest Mama ever! They were excited and I think that was a terrific way to start their Vball season! Can't wait for their next game this coming Saturday.
Bad: I missed going to my ward on Sunday, thus missing Ame's talk. I was rather disappointed about that. Then I was even more upset that I was an hour late to the dinner party. Don't even get me started on the overflowed toilet....FML moment, for sure.
Ugly: Got into an argument with my Mom, late Saturday night/Sunday morning. It's just so emotionally and mentally exhausting. After a late night of arguing and hurtful words that were exchanged, I had no desire to go to church that next morning.

Friday night date.
Last night, we had dinner at Nicky Rottens in Coronado. Afterwards, we took some photos down at the Coronado Ferry Landing. SO. MUCH. FUN.!!!
As much as I love the photo above.... I can't help but chuckle every time I look at the one below.
I thought it would be a "cute" idea to try to sit on his lap. However, my Poly butt trying to sit on a lap, doesn't amount to a "cute" photo. Oh the laughs that came from it.... Such a FUN night!

On the up and up...
Yesterday, I woke up thinking it was Friday. I was immediately happy, giddy and excited that I would be seeing Levi, because we had made Friday night date plans!! Till it dawned on me that it wasn't Friday, but in fact just Thursday. Man, I was so bummed! Such a let down. It felt like the day seemed even longer. When I woke up this morning, I couldn't wait for the day to pass quickly and to get my optometrist appoint over with cause I would soon be seeing Levi.
However.... it wasn't smooth sailing today....
-Found out from my Facebook newsfeed, from a conversation between my nephew's fiancee and her friend, that he's getting married on June 21. Yet again, just like his engagement, I had to find out about his life on Facebook. Well then again, her grandma didn't know about the upcoming wedding until that same Fb conversation. It's so nice that they're old enough to get married, but not mature enough to inform family members--like his own Mom. Wow....
-Got in a huge argument with my parents. Hurtful things were said and to be honest, it was emotionally draining.
-Skipped out on my optometrist appointment, because my eyes were red from crying and rubbing them. To be honest, the optometrist that I go to is a jerk and I didn't want to give him something else to ream me about.
But in the end, just like the rainy, grey weather of today, the day/evening got better!
**My friend Tui, who's Tongan & Japanese, received her mission call today to the Japan Sendai mission. She'll be entering the MTC on April 24. She called me up to personally tell me and thank me for making her feel so welcomed in the CVYSA ward when she started attending right after high school. That really touched my heart that amongst all the calls she made today, she felt prompted to call me and to thank me. I teared up. I'm so happy for her! She's going to be a terrific missionary!
**Filippi's Pizza Grotto, is opening a location here in Imperial Beach! OH YEAAAAAH!!! Man, I LOOOOOVE their pizza! Seriously, it fills the Pie Pizzeria hole that I have in my heart.
**I had a fabulous date night with my sweetheart. Just being with him was more than I could have asked for today. It was perfect. We went to Aroma Thai and had yellow curry w/ chicken and broccoli and chicken in peanut sauce. DELICIOUS!!!! Oh man, I LOOOOOOVED it!! Then we stopped in at Oasis Ice Cream Parlor where it has THE BEST ice cream in the world! Seriously, I LOVE this place! I had coconut & watermelon and it was DIVINE!! It's like eating a real frozen watermelon and coconut! I have no desire to go to Cold Stone, with Oasis around!! Levi had banana and rocky road and man, it was super yummy!!!!! Gosh, I love this place too much! Afterwards we went to see Identity Thief and man, I totally LAUGHED OUT LOUD!!!! I have always enjoyed Melissa McCarthy because she will forever be Sookie St. James, in my mind. It was just a spectacular evening with my sweetheart. He's the best, he really is! Oh my lucky stars, I'm so blessed.

Drive In Date!
Yesterday, Levi and I had a hard time trying to decide what we were going to do for a date. At the last minute we decided we'd try the drive in, to see Mama....and luckily at the drive-in, it's always a two-for-one special, for $7! I haven't been to the South Bay drive-in since Lion King came out, mid-90's.
Oh man, can I just say that I am now the biggest fan of drive in theaters!! Seriously, I LOOOOOOVED it!!!!!
I'm a huge fan of just being able to move around and make noise as much as I want. Besides, it was just a fun date. As much as I love going on movie dates, it's hard to connect with someone during the movie. However, at a drive-in it's ok to talk as much as you want - as long as the other person/people with you don't mind. {So glad Levi is SO easy going.} Last night was probably one of my top 3 favorite dates with Levi! I would HIGHLY recommend everyone and anyone to head to a drive-in near them! SOON!
Oh man, can I just say that I am now the biggest fan of drive in theaters!! Seriously, I LOOOOOOVED it!!!!!
1. 2 movies for $7 (one admission)
2. Volume control - which was great since my ears are congested.
3. I can talk, comment and crack jokes as much as I want.
4. We can bring in food, drinks and blankets.
5. Seat control.
6. I can stand whenever I want, walk around and just stretch at any time.
7. Listening to the oldies music, before the [drive-in] movie, made me feel like we were in 1950's.

OCTOBER!!!
Dude, I'm pretty stoked for October! Seriously, I've never been so happy to see October before!
I LOOOOOVE the cooler weather!! Sweater weather, baby!
I'm stoked for all the fall flavors that come out around this time!
I miss seeing red & gold trees, on the east coast.
I love Dia de los Muertos and going to Old Town to celebrate it!
I love Dia de los Muertos and going to Old Town to celebrate it!
There's just something wonderful about this time of year!
I'm pretty dang excited!
But maybe most of that excitement comes from the fact that I'm going on a date tonight. I met someone last week, and last night was our first date. We went to Buca di Beppo for dinner and it was scrumptious! Levi is so dang cute! Seriously, it was what a date should be like: "planned for, paid for and paired off" (Elder Oaks' talk). It's something my friends have been trying to engrain in me for the last several weeks. And with Levi, it totally was! I like this guy... yes, even more so than Ely. Levi has all his ducks in a row; he has a job, he understands and makes the time for a relationship (and actually WANTS one!), he's very family oriented, he's physically affectionate and reciprocates my physical gestures, and wants to communicate on all levels! I love it! He's unlike TheBaker and Ely and I'm hap-hap-happy!!
*Just to clarify about the "physical affectionate" part.... I'm a touchy feely person; I love to give and receive hugs, I like to rub someone's back (no, not in church, that's just weird), or I hold someone's hand when they're emotional.... I can connect better with someone when I'm touching them. So in case anyone things that it's all rated-R type of touching...you've got A LOT to learn about the power of touch!

Awkward & Embarrassed.
A couple nights ago, a group of us went out to eat, at Sonny's favorite restaurant. I ended up sitting next to him, which I DID NOT want. Later on, my friend Mare told me that my body language towards him was kinda rude. I was turned away from him, and trying to focus on the conversation to my right. I thought I was being subtle, but apparently I wasn't. Mare gave me a hard time about it and then I realized later, I wasn't doing it because I was pissed at him... I was embarrassed. I let my feelings show, last Saturday, that I liked him. Once you throw that out there, there's not reeling it back in. It's out in the open. I feel stupid for asking him out, just plain embarrassed for letting him know that I dug him.
Fast forward to today...
Some mutual friends were having a BBQ after church and I saw (on FB) that he didn't RSVP. I figured he'd still be out of town and wouldn't be at the BBQ, especially since he wasn't at our Softball game, nor at church today. Ame said that it would be good if I went to the BBQ so it didn't seem like I only went to gatherings that he would be at. So I did. As I was following Ame to the BBQ, I happened to look in my rear view mirror and noticed the buff looking man in the car behind me. Whoever this man was, he looked pretty built and manly---SO HOT!!!! Only when I stopped long enough at a stop sign did I come to realize that it was Sonny. Really...REALLY?!? I just couldn't believe it!! What the heck?!
I just feel so weird around him, I want to crawl in a cave and hide. I hate the fact that he knows that I liked him. I don't hide things well. I don't want to talk to him, not cause I'm pissed that he basically turned down my invite for a date, but because I feel lame & stupid for even asking him out on a date, in the first place. I wish I could just be invisible when he's around.
Now I know what the saying, "Don't crap where you eat" means....

June/July
*Today's been an emotionally exhausting day. Didn't expect my day to start out with an argument that would only lead to crying. I'm so sleepy and my Meniere's has been terrible lately.
*I went on a date, Friday night, to The Prado. The food was scrumptious!!! Just like the server said, the Braised Beef was so tender I could cut it with a spoon! Loved it! We ate outside on the terrace and had a lovely view of Balboa Park. My chocolate dessert was delectable! VERY enjoyable evening. Do I like the guy? Hmm, not sure yet. "Logan" was very nice, but he is 14 years older than me and lives about 45 minutes northeast of SD. We'll see when he gets back from his trip, next week.
*The day of my date with Logan, I received an invite for a hang out at Sonny's place. A group of friends were gonna meet up at Sonny's, soak in the jacuzzi, swim in the pool and watch a flick. I was torn! I wanted to go to Sonny's, but Logan already made reservations and I just couldn't back out. I was gonna try to go to both, but our stroll around Balboa Park was longer than expected.
*As much as I enjoyed going out with Logan, I couldn't help but think of Sonny. I made up my mind that I would ask Sonny out. So I did, after our Softball game on Saturday. We chatted about some church stuff and then I just asked. Here's how it went....
Ehu: Hey Sonny, I was just wondering, would you like to go out sometime? I was thinking some frozen yogurt.
Sonny: Oh, um.... {intense thinking face}
Ehu: Well I know we couldn't do it tonight because of the stake BBQ. Do you ever do things on Sunday?
Sonny: Sometimes.
Ehu: Is tomorrow one of those "sometimes" Sundays?
Sonny: Well today's my niece's birthday, so I don't know if we're celebrating today or tomorrow and I've gotta go buy her a gift.
Ehu: Oh ok, and I know next weekend's out of the question since you'll be out of town.
Sonny: Yeah.... {intense thinking face now looks a lil confused}
Ehu: Well alright, we can figure something out.
Sonny: Oh alright.
Ehu: I gotta get going, so I'll just catch you later.
Sonny: See ya.
Yep, that's how it went. I ended up seeing him later that evening at the BBQ. We talked for a tiny bit and ended up playing Ping Pong together. We wagered Phil's BBQ, and I lost. Later that night, I was talking with a friend from the ward, who told me that she had invited Sonny and his roommate over for dinner. She insisted that I come over because then I would be able to hang out with Sonny. I thought that would be a great idea! During church, my friend reminded me of her dinner, to which I asked if it was confirmed if Sonny was going to be there. She said that he was definitely going to be there with his roommate. I bowed out of the dinner. I saw him a lot on Saturday and just didn't feel like it would be such a good idea to go. Then I started to think, "What happened to his niece's birthday party? Was that his way of nicely telling me he wasn't interested?" Probably was.
*I haven't mentioned that my friend Mare is in town from Utah!!!! We've been friends for about 13 years!
It's been so great having her here!! We hung out at Coronado Beach after my Softball games and went to the Mormon Battalion Center. We met a new guy in my ward, and he tagged along. We ended up at Cafe Coyote afterwards, drinking Mocktails and swapping hilariously scandalous stories! Goooooooooood times!

Sensitive Sunday.
Yesterday, I took my friend Darci to church. As always, it's nice to have a friend to sit with at church. Since we both play on the same Softball team with Sonny, she wanted to go over and talk to him (to give him a hard time for a bruise that happened at our last practice.) I wasn't really in the mood to talk to him because I was still embarrassed from our game, the day before. However, I did need to talk to him in regards to next week's Family Home Evening, since we'll be playing Softball. {I just can't escape this game! I'm gonna improve one way or another!} He started to stand up as I was trying to tap on his back....which ended up inches above his butt. He turned around and looked extremely pissed. I started to regret tapping him...or even being near him, for that matter. I tried to keep it short and asked if I could talk to him after church. He mumbled something in agreement and walked away. I felt stupid for even bothering him, but yet I couldn't help but wonder why he looked so annoyed. Darci said that others around him also looked annoyed. Really?? Annoyed at church...what's up?!
I couldn't shake the thought during Sunday School, so I turned to Facebook and changed my status to:
I couldn't shake the thought during Sunday School, so I turned to Facebook and changed my status to:
"I wonder why some people look and act annoyed, at church :("
Maybe I've become extra sensitive now, since I like Sonny. After church, as I was walking out of the women's restroom, (Darci was in front of me, and Ame was still at the mirror) I turned and saw Sonny at the end of the hallway. I tried to sneak back into the restroom. I didn't want to talk to him anymore, not at all! I couldn't sneak back fast enough and he called out for me. I was timid and could barely even hear my voice. I just wanted to be anywhere but in that hallway. I tried to make it quick, but it wasn't working. However, he maintained eye contact a lil more than usual. I was practically eye to eye with him, since I was wearing wedges. It ended up being a decent conversation and he was nice again. At one point, when I changed the topic from FHE to our Softball team, I grabbed his arm {bicep}. Oh I LOVE LOVE LOVE it when you touch a guy's arm, and then they flex a split second later! I can't help but chuckle because I always feel the difference between a flexed and unflexed arm. So obvious!! Well, Sonny happened to do that and MAN OH MAN, his arm was so big!!! I mean, it was big already, but once he flexed it, it was HUGE!!! And SO defined!!! My face was so warm, and I'm sure I turned red!! Oh my gosh, he suddenly got a million times hotter!! I have no idea how I finished that conversation because my mind was racing and thinking how hot this man is!!
On the drive home, Darci told me that she commented on my FB status as well as someone else....
"Sorry Ehu, it was probably me. I always look intense when I'm at church. But I normally have good intentions. :)"
It was from Sonny. I kinda felt bad that he caught that, because I didn't think he read things on my FB. Yikes. But I'm glad he felt the need to apologize. We'll see if I talk to him again at church. I really don't want a repeat of his "intense" look again. I just wish I knew him better. With that said, I'll be seeing him tomorrow at Softball. Wish me luck.
((Ok.....now for my friend Ame....))
I went on a date last night (Sunday night). It was with this guy I've been talking to. We'll call him Pokemon. Well he told me he was a nerd, but I didn't realize how literal he meant it. Just because he's into comics, Sci-Fi movies, Comic-Con, & Halo, didn't exactly mean that he was a nerd, right? Wrong. That's basically his whole life. In fact, he's already planning his Pokemon Trainer/Ash Ketchum costume!! He was so proud of the Pokemon catcher he made, that he brought it to our date, last night. Oh, have I mentioned that he's 26 years old and never been kissed!! He wasn't exactly my type...no I take that back, he wasn't my type at all. I couldn't turn down his request of a date, I would have felt terrible. Well, I had to push the date back by a half hour and figured I'd go ahead and eat dinner (thinking he'd do the same, since it was past the dinner hour). Well, he didn't eat, so while we were at the Coronado Ferry Landing, he went ahead and bought himself some food. I thought it was a lil rude that he didn't offer to at least buy me a drink, when I insisted that he eat, even though I wasn't going to. Was I wrong to think that? Nor did he offer to let me taste it. Maybe it's just me, but I would have offered it to him, if the roles were reversed. His jokes were LAME!!! I couldn't pity laugh anymore, I was socially exhausted. He told me he was nervous, but I tried to put him at ease. While he was ordering his food, I looked around and saw a movie poster for, Goodfellas. I asked if he'd ever seen it and he quickly said, no. Then with a self righteous tone, he asked me if I'd ever seen, Deep Space Nine. I said, "no", and he snapped back saying, "See, same difference!!" I was beyond myself....who the hell acts like that?! I was just trying to make conversation. It was obvious that he was socially awkward and it was going to be an odd night. The only thing that kept me sane on this date, was thinking of Sonny's arm, from earlier in the day. It was like pulling teeth trying to talk to him. On the phone, it was great, but in person, it SUCKED!!! No personality at all. I feel sorry for the guy. I think he needs a Hitch in his life, someone to coach him a lil about the ins and outs of dating & women. He was kinda nice, but just very inexperienced, he was like a boy in a man's body. I hope he gets kissed soon....26 and a VL....poor guy.

Sunday Seafood & Saturday Softballl & Scriptures.
Yesterday was my parents' 50th anniversary. We went to South Bay Fish & Grill to celebrate it. I liked the idea of eating seafood on the harbor. Makes me think of last Sunday's date with Swiss. Oh Swiss.... I was suppose to see him today, but was with family instead. Our next date will be at the airport. I know...THE AIRPORT!!! I'm excited because I really like the airport here in San Diego! It just makes me so happy to see. It's quite the beauty! I think the airport is under appreciated because most people are rushing around and are too busy to notice how great of a place it is. I've always wanted to have a date there because I never really get to eat there. I also I like watching people. Have you ever noticed how happy some people are there? I love flying in to San Diego because even after I've gone somewhere else, I get to come home to SAN DIEGO!!!! America's Finest City! I LOVE IT HERE!!
Yesterday was also our first softball game. Oh man.... I somehow need to lose 100 lbs. by our next game. Man oh man, I am NOT a runner. I need to be. I also need to be better at batting. I mean, Tat and I went to the batting cages the night before and I totally rocked it! But man, the next day, I SUUUUUUUCKED!!!! Seriously, I couldn't hit the ball to save my life. What the heck?!?! Ugh..... I was nervous as heck!!! My heartbeat was racing and practically pounding through my chest!!!! I can just kiss Sonny {formerly known as, "Iam"} goodbye. Seriously. I was a pathetic excuse of a player yesterday. I feel VERY humbled because I was totally out of my element. I was scared of the ball. I was hit during church softball once, so I've been traumatized ever since. But still... I'm pretty sure Sonny thinks I'm a complete idiot. I couldn't really face him at church today. I doubt I'll be talking to him much outside of softball now. By the way, our team name is, "The Dirty Pickles". Not really my favorite. I submitted the name, "Pitch Slap" because I can't help but chuckle every time I hear it. :) As for the rest of the team, I totally like them all. They're all chill and GREAT players! I think I'm the weakest link. :(
Today at church, I was a lil bummed. Happy to have my friend Ame back but sad that Vans wasn't there. He moved out of the ward last week. He was my first friend in the ward and reminded me of Mr. Red and all of our times of hangin' out at church together. I'm bummed but I know he'll be happier in his new ward. I'm oh so grateful to have Ame back in town. She's such a cool, chill chick!!
I was reading Mosiah 25-28 {Book of Mormon} today during Sacrament Meeting and thoroughly enjoying it. I haven't studied from the BOM in a long time and in the last blessing I received from my awesome Home Teacher, I was advised to read the scriptures more and pray a lot more. I can't wait to read more from Mosiah and start Alma. I know I didn't exactly start reading the BOM from the beginning, but let's just be grateful I'm reading it again. I can't help but feel like I need to make some course corrections in my life. I'm so thankful for the opportunity I had to read the scriptures. I NEED to start doing that more often. A LOT more often.

So much for the whole, "NO GUYS IN MAY" goal....
I went on a {first} date tonight. Oh man, I had a terrific time! I couldn't stop smiling and laughing. We went to Island Prime and the view was just so spectacular! It was right on the waterfront, and I faced the Coronado bridge and Downtown San Diego. LOVED IT!!! "Swiss" was oh so funny!!! Seriously, I had a marvelous time! My food was superb and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was nervous at first, but it was so easy to relax and be myself with him. Afterwards, we walked around Harbor Island and talked for a very long time. I just couldn't stop laughing. Plus, I really like his Swiss accent. It's almost like a Minnesota/Canadian accent. Seriously, such a fun & delicious night!
I talked with Iam today at church. SWOOOOOOOOOOOOON!! Seriously, I think he is adorably HOT! We were talking about our upcoming Softball league season. I just love love love watching him talk. His face scrunches up in the oddest and cutest ways! We talked for a bit and I just grew anxiously excited for Tuesday night's team meeting at Phil's BBQ. Man oh man, I cannot wait til I get to see him almost all the time! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! He's so damn cute and his body is just rockin'!! My gosh, he's very athletic, about 6'2, brown hair, hazelish eyes (I think? I was a lil too nervous to remember exactly what they looked like today) and a slammin' body! HOT!
Ok, I need a cold shower. G'nite.

Facebook Friday, I guess?
I'm pretty stoked today, not gonna lie.....
*Today is my very dearest best friend, StephyPooh's birthday!! She's amazing, she really is! Anyone would be so lucky to know her and have her as a friend! I feel so blessed.
*I started a group on Facebook, "Mormon Battalion Photos!". I've always wanted to see a collection of these photos:
*Then I saw on FB that my friend Nadia's husband, Shawn, just gradu, ated with his Masters degree! This guy is pretty phenomenal and together, they're pretty awesome! Some of my most favorite people! I'm stoked for him!
*Tomorrow evening, my friend Ang is celebrating her 25th birthday! She's a fun girl that just so happens to make some VERY delicious Mexican food! I'm excited for a very fun time!
*I'm also suppose to go on a date tomorrow night............ So there's this guy that I happened to go to Jr.High with [he was two years ahead of me]. I never knew him in school, but always remembered his freshmen photo, because I thought he was pretty dang cute. Even back then, I was a sucker for cute white boys with blonde hair! Plus, look at those dimples! Adorable, right?! It's like we've been in the same circles, just never knew it. When I worked for an attorney service here in town, the law office he works for was one of our biggest clients. I may have even spoken on the phone with him and never even knew it. A friend on Facebook invited me to our alma mater's Spring musical. So random, but thought it'd be cool to support the local arts. I asked Freshman15 if he'd possibly like to go on a date to a play at our ol' high school. I thought it was a cute idea and he was pretty open to the idea. Now......if only I could swing both the play & the party!
*The more I think about church, the more I feel like I should go back to my family ward. I feel like I can't be as active as I'd like to be. We'll see how I feel after this Sunday & Monday's FHE. .
*Bub & his fiancee, Sissy drove back to Utah last night. It was so much fun having both of them here! My heart misses Bub, but I've learned a lot in the last several months. I haven't always thought the nicest thoughts about his fiancee. She didn't really give me any reason to, but my overbearing mind and overprotective heart consumed the best of me. She is a very warm, kind, generous and loving young woman. She makes my Bub happy beyond a doubt and fills his heart & life with love. They treat each other with tenderness and respect. I've learned a lot while watching them and I've been humbled. I couldn't have ever dreamed of someone as (dare I say...) perfect for him, like she is. I wish them the very best of love & happiness.....Heaven knows they deserve it.

I think they're just so funny and all around fun to see. I'd also like to think of it as a small way of doing missionary work. Heaven knows I need to step up my game, in that arena! Check it out! Join! Contribute!

*Speakin of dates... two friends (more like acquaintances) want to set me up on a blind date. A friend of theirs is in his mid-30's, an ER (maybe ICU) nurse, return missionary who has put off dating and marriage to focus on his career until just recently. Apparently he's tired of being single and wants to change that. Somehow I came to their minds and they want to set me up on a date with him. I happened to see what he looks like on one of their Facebook's and he's not really my type. He's basically like a Peter Priesthood and that's not necessarily my type. I want someone who's open minded and will be okay with two of my closest friends who are gay. Also, he's brown. This brown girl isn't really attracted to brown guys. {Brown guys either look like a cousin or end up being a cousin----so, no thanks.} Should I even entertain my friends and go out on a date with this guy? Clearly what I've been going for hasn't worked....maybe I should try something different?

In case you were wondering.....
For dessert, I had planned on:
I got him his favorite ice cream flavor: Banana. And for me, I chose my beloved Mint ice cream. Great idea for dessert, right? We'd both be happy with our favorite ice creams!
That's if someone didn't forget them at home on the counter.... :( bummer.
As for the rest of dinner... I was NERVOUS as heck!! Seriously NERVOUS!!! As I was peeling the Prosciutto apart, my hands were shaking!!!! It was ridiculous!! I haven't had such shaky hands since I played organ at church. It was crazy!! Luckily, Houston's hugs, kisses & very kind words eased my nerves. I was nervous because I wanted everything to be just right and also, I wanted to impress him. He reassured me that he'd be happy with anything I made and knew it would be just wonderful.
It was! It was my first time cooking Asparagus and it was delightful!! The Salmon was superb and the Twice Baked Potatoes were fantastic!!
He cleaned up the kitchen, which I was going to help with, but he said that it's "house rules, the cook doesn't clean." I'm not use to that. It was such a great evening!! I will say this much, it was lovely slow dancing in the kitchen with him. I felt like I had two left feet! The only other man I've ever really slowed dance with was my Dad. My Dad's such a good lead and I was use to him. However, when I relaxed and just let Houston lead, then all was well. I need to do that more often... relax and let Houston lead.
Other than that, it was a very wonderful evening. Man, I really like Houston ♥. Glad I get to spend tomorrow with him out in the country! Can't wait!

Stood Up.
So I THOUGHT today was gonna be a good day....
...and then I got stood up for my date with Berkeley, tonight.
Yeah, didn't think that was going to happen since he was the one complaining last Friday night about being stood up for his date that night.
WOW.
I'd be more mad or pissed, but honestly, I stopped getting my hopes up about dates and whatnot.
Besides, I've been trying to be 'less invested' with certain friendships and relationships.
Tonight's events don't really make me want to try to ask Oeste out again.
Really, do I want to be shot down again?
A heart can only handle so much.
This
is
why
I
cannot
stand
dating
!!!
All the B.S. games and drama.
Why can't it just be easy, like;
I like you.
Do you like me?
Ok, let's do something about it.
Done!
Dear God,
I hope I don't die
single...
or alone,
or a virgin.
Amen.
ok, I take that back.... I am pissed. Who can't pick up a damn phone and call....or hell, at least drop a text.
