As of late in late November 2013....

(Typed on Friday, Nov. 29)

Thanksgiving 2013

*Yesterday was Thanksgiving and man, was it OH. SO. DELICIOUS.!!!  I spent it with Levi and had so much fun!!  I'm so glad that he can cook and that he does it so well! Man, I'm so lucky!! I LOVE me some yams & marshmallows! OH YEAH!!! I've gotta say, Thanksgiving food is my fave!   Growing up, we didn't really eat traditional Thanksgiving food.  I think we'd have a Turkey, but we always made something Tongan or Hawaiian to go along with it.  Not too sure why, but man, I love me some Thanksgiving goodness!

*Levi and I went to Wal Mart on Thanksgiving night.  Man....I don't like shopping and this was kinda chaotic!  TONS of people!  I'm so thankful for online shopping!

*I didn't get to bed til almost 2am, this morning....only to wake up about 3 hours later.  Kinda brutal, I'm not gonna lie. Going in early to work didn't sound so smart anymore, when you're actually doing it.  Rough, I tell ya!  Then I worked a 12.5 hour shift to finish up on inventory...brutal. Luckily, I wasn't sleepy, but it sure was a very long day.

*I had a healthy serving of Humble Pie today, at work.  MotorMouth helped me out with an Excel formula that made my work A LOT easier!  Man, I was not ready for that! The rest of the evening was pleasant, which was nice.

*Levi's Christmas gift came today and I'm glad he's so stoked for his Xbox One.  He actually let me play a lil and it was kinda fun.  I'm not really a fan of Call of Duty: Ghosts, as for Zoo Tycoon, that's a different story.....for later.

Thanksgiving!

I'm so thankful for....

*Abundant blessings from my Heavenly Father, ones that are so specific to my life that end up being beautiful tender mercies
*My wonderful family who loves me and puts up with my crazy antics.
*My sweetheart Levi, who makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the entire universe.
*The sweet association of dear friends; where time nor distance haven't altered our friendship.
*A home, a warm bed and food in my cupboard.
*The beautiful sound of music, the talent to sing and the wonder to appreciate it.
*My sister, Bec, who is like a mother and best friend combined.
*My nephews who let me tease them and dish it back, because they see me as a sister.
*My dear niece who has a sweet and kind heart towards everyone.
*My king size down comforter that's like a warm hug every time I use it. (thanks StephyPooh)
*The beauty of the beach.
*Mexican food and the ability to appreciate other cultures.
*The opportunity of mortality, the reassurance of Christ's gospel and latter-day revelation.
&
*Love.

Dear Friday...

Dear Friday!
I'm thankful you're here.  It's been a rather long week....yet in a way, not really.  I'm happy that you bring the weekend with you.  I've got a rather special friend flying in this weekend.  I'll tell you more about this special friend, later.   I'm also glad you're finally here because that means that my sweetheart will be home in about 2 weeks.  I miss Levi so much.  He's easy on the eyes and makes me laugh A LOT--my two favorite things about him.  What else..... I can't believe that Thanksgiving will be here in less than a week and that Black Friday is in one week.  Man, I can't stand that day, so forgive me if I'm not a fan of you next week.  Well, I've gotta get going, I need to go buy a phone charger and use my gift card at Kohl's.

P.S. Have I mentioned how much I've enjoyed spending time with my nephew, Kalanster?  Man, he's been so dang funny lately! Plus, I love talking to him about music and listening to all the new music that he's written.  He's such a funny and fun kid.  I love him so!

-Ehu.

Thursday, too soon.

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is in a week! ONE WEEK!!!

Where has the time gone?!?!  I feel like October went by in a flash and now November is flying by too!!  In a way, I hope November flies by quickly so that Levi comes home sooner.  In the same breath, I'm ok with it going by slowly.  I'm not ready for Christmas to be here....not at all.

However, back to Thanksgiving.....

I sure do love Thanksgiving. I love the togetherness.  I love Cranberry sauce.  I love the fact that it's so American.  I love it all!!

2 things for Thanksgiving....

Tomorrow, I'll be spending Thanksgiving with just my parents.

That's never happened before, EVER.
It's very seldom that I eat any meal with JUST them.
My brother and his family went out of town, to his in-laws' for Thanksgiving. I'm actually a lil jealous. I love my bro's in-laws...but I LOOOOOOOOVE my bro's MotherInLaw's pies. They're FREAKIN' FANTASTIC!! ALL made from scratch and she even makes me a Butterscotch pie--she knows it's my favorite! Oh how I wish I was there!

2 things come to mind for this T h a n k s g i v i n g:

-I love the opportunity I have to enjoy Thanksgiving alone with my parents. I'm so excited to have the time to cook! It'll be a lot quieter, I'll miss the noise of having 5 additional family members around the dinner table. Like I said, it's very rare that I'm ever alone with just my parents. I think it'll definitely be a Thanksgiving to enjoy. I know I'll look back on this Thanksgiving and hold it's dear memory in my heart. I've truly been blessed with amazing loving parents.

-I'm so grateful for my sister-in-law and her family. My SIL has been married to my brother for 20 years, I've known her since I was 7 years old. She's been more like a sister than an "In-Law". I've never thought of her like that. She was my escort thru the temple when I went through for my Endowment. I love her family. They're beyond friendly, they're truly family. They've all welcomed me into their homes, even when my bro & SIL wasn't with me. I used to go over to my SIL's brother's house all the time and they'd feed me when I was a broke college student in Utah. My brother is blessed beyond measure to have such magnificent in-laws such as them. I hope I'm blessed as well, someday.
