For Jane:

(Whom I miss dearly! MOVE BACK!!)

Mr.NY: My HOT co-worker that I’ve known since last July. I first met him when I walked into the office for my interview. He instantly helped me out and has been uber nice to me ever since. He’s gorgeous, inside and out…but unfortunately is not a member of the church. He graduated from UCONN with a degree in English/Creative Writing (TOTALLY LOVE IT!!). He has beautiful blue eyes, super perfect soft skin and a SWEET New York accent. Why this man is single, I have no idea...but he is BEAUTIFUL with a very kind heart.

Pythagoras: I’m not sure if I ever pointed him out to you at the Temple, but we have the same Temple shift. Talked to him once at the Temple (actually twice) and it totally bombed. He seems extremely shy, which makes the awkwardness enjoyable. I call him Pythagoras since he’s studying Math at UCSD. Yes, just like Katie’s sister….his ex. Why I dig him…The blue eyes are totally mesmerizing, obviously a member & an RM, and he’s pretty to look at every Saturday.

Berkeley: The son of one of the sister‘s on my Temple shift. I met him about 3 weeks ago and LOVED every second of it. He kept me laughing and it was so refreshing! He still has a personality even though we’re in the Temple…he’s not fake. I like that, a lot. He studied law at Berkeley, hence the name. I haven’t really gotten much of a chance to talk to him lately, but when I do it’s always such a comic relief.

SHOCKED!!

Yesterday at the Temple, I was trying to help a patron locate her belongings. I had her follow me down a back stairwell that I wasn’t all too familiar with. I’d never gone down there before and quickly found out that it led to the Cafeteria and the offices of the Temple Presidency. As the patron and I were walking thru the offices, I noticed that Pythagoras was headed towards me. After I passed him, I started to wonder if I had really seen what I seen?!
Did he REALLY wave or motion something towards me?? Really?! Nah, it couldn’t have been! No way!”
I led the patron to where she needed to go, turned around and headed back. But what do I see…Pythagoras, coming back again!
“Noooooooooo, dang it. More awkwardness. Whatevers, I’ll just look at the ground as I pass and it’ll be okay”.
At the last moment as I was passing him, I looked up to see him smiling, waving and saying ‘Hello’.
I was stunned--strike that… SHOCKED at what just happened. I’m sure it was obvious in the way I waved back, confused. I was beside myself! I couldn’t wait to tell someone! ANYONE!! Audrey! My Aunt!…SOMEONE! I mean, really? Did that REALLY just happen? I told my Aunt (who also works at the Temple w/ me and knows of my last incident with Pythagoras) and she was just as astonished! I was elated, shocked and confused all at once. I didn’t understand the change in him. I mean, after my last AWKWARD encounter with him I pretty much wrote him off. I was done looking stupid trying to approach him. To be honest, I’m still stunned and baffled… Wow. WOW!?
p.s. I actually seen him tonight at a fireside, well, him and Berkeley (YAAAY!! Such a funny, cool guy!)... I liked Pythagoras' red tie tonight....amongst other things ;)

WOW! Really?!

Trippy Temple day.
MAJORLY trippy!
(more tomorrow, I'm too tired right now)

HAPPY SUNDAY NAP DAY!!

The Good:
Yesterday during my Temple shift I was able to be a patron in Intiatories. WOW!! It's been a while since I've been to the Temple (besides my weekly shift). It felt SO good!! It inspired me to stay after my shift to do more Temple work. I was able to do more Intiatories and go through an Endowment session. WOW!! SIMPLY AMAZING!! I truly loved working in the Temple yesterday. I want to go again sometime this week!! I LOVED IT!! So in total, I was in the Temple for about 9 hours yesterday. AWESOME!!

The Bad:
Kinda embarrassed myself in front of another Temple HOTTIE. Oh well, I never see him...so it's okay. Maybe he'll forget even I exsist. Sigh.

The Ugly:
I talked to Pythagoras for the LAST time yesterday. UGH!!! I'M DONE!! NEVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE WILL I SPEAK TO HIM!!! Some friends and I are planning on going out to eat after our Temple shift next week. I thought it'd be cool to invite him since he's also YSA (young single adult) and knows some of the girls going. As he was walking by me, I stopped him by saying "HEEEEY!" He looked extremely startled (I didn't shout it!) and annoyed (I guess it's typical when I talk to him). As I was inviting him to go with a group of us, he kept trying to interject. When I was finished inviting him all he said to me was, "That's when I'll be out on Spring Break". THAT WAS FREAKIN IT?!! NOTHING MORE!!! So I pretty much drew my own conclusion and said "Well, I hope you have a great spring break! Enjoy yourself!!" The whole time he looked purely annoyed by me. WTH!?! Then, as if I didn't suffer enough embarrassement, I said to him, "I hope you were okay with my picture tag of you on Facebook" [I tagged him as "The Shy One" on the Mr Happy photo]. He just said "Uh, yeah, that's okay". Since the air was thickly filled with "awkwardness", I wished him well for his spring break and turned to walk away. I'M DONE!! LIKE I SAID, I'M NEVER SPEAKING TO HIM AGAIN!! JUST TOO MUCH AWKWARDNESS!! I'M TIRED OF FEELING LIKE I'M JUST AN ANNOYANCE TO HIM!! UGH!!! DONE!!

ARRGGG!!

(that's the sound I keep making just about every 5 minutes)

The Good:
Went to the Temple. Got to see Pythagoras twice. He's so dang cute. Ann Marie is back to working on our Temple shift. She's so crazy cool, I love her! She's engaged to be married this June. I'm happy for her! I had an interview with a member of the Temple presidency. That was pleasant.

The Bad:
We lose an hour of sleep tonight :( I've got a mean head ache....

The Ugly:
I threw my back out while at the Temple. Oh man, it's even worse now....and I'm thinkin' the 800mg of Ibuprofen is NOT working. I just hope I don't have to teach Sunday School tomorrow. AARRGGG!

Hey everyone! Meet Randi......

Just thought I’d take a quick break from reading to do a lil bloggie schmoggie….

*The Temple was pretty good today…er, I mean it was “fantastic”. (My niece always worries when I say ’good’ instead of “fantastic”.) I’m glad she notices the difference, it makes me appreciate the opportunity to spend my day at the Temple. It'll be closed for the next two weeks...HELLO 2 FREE WEEKENDS!!

*I got to see Pythagoras & his blue watch today. I was too nervous to try to sit next to him…well, not exactly. I was afraid if I sat next to him, I would have tried to talk to him about “Lost”, which wouldn’t be entirely appropriate for the Temple….which would probably lead to him being annoyed with me again. Didn’t really want that reaction…so there I sat, on the oooooooother end of the pew.

*I went out to lunch with Eidde on Friday. Filippi’s, in the Little Italy district, has THE BEST Antipasto salad! OH my gosh, SUPER GOOD. So far, I’ve gotta say that I really liked the pizza there. I was hesitant to try it since I MISS my beloved Pie Pizzeria…which ironically, I happened to be wearing my Pie hoodie yesterday. Nothing even compares to the greatness of the Pie. I’m thinking I need a Utah roadtrip here soon. I need some Pie Pizzeria & Saratoga Hot Springs in my system, ASAP!
*Goin’ back to my lunch with Eidde….It was EXACTLY what I needed. I received some news the night before which weighed heavily on my mind Friday. It brought me to tears several times. I couldn’t have been more grateful to be out with my best friend, who knows me and knows my heart. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful, dear friends who know my heart and who love me so much.
*I get to give a talk in church tomorrow. I LOVE speaking assignments! I’ve been asked to speak on “Service”, which is my FAVORITE topic!! Luckily, I gave a lesson on it a couple months back…so I’m already done with my talk! :)

*Chinese New Year is on Monday. I’m so dang excited!! It’s one of my FAVORITE holidays!! (It’s right up there with 4th of July). I can’t wait to wear red, pass out red envelopes & oranges and eat Chinese food with chop-sticks!! I love Chinese New Years, it reminds me of my dear Tutu (grandmother). Yep, I’m actually Chinese...who would have thunk it?
