Love!

Yesterday, after a job interview I had, I walked over to Starbucks to treat myself to a lil breakfast.  As I was enjoying my turkey panini and strawberries & cream frap, I noticed a couple that just pulled up to parking space directly facing me.  They pulled up, but didn't get out, which made me a lil curious so I looked back up.  They were kissing each other.  I know this should have made me look away, but as I watched them tenderly kiss each other, it made me think of my sweetheart.  It made me miss him, and crave his tender kisses.  A couple thoughts came to mind...

*I thought about how much I love this man.  How he's become my best friend, my partner in crime, my truest confidant, the one I show all of my weaknesses to, my sweetheart that I share my dreams and desires with and the only one I want to spend the rest of my life and eternity with.  I'm so lucky to begin and end my day, with him by my side.  

*I thought about how much I love LOVE! I can't wait for Valentine's Day.  A day to show and give LOVE to everyone!  

*I thought about how everyone deserves to be loved.  I'm excited for my dear friend Eidde and the opportunity he has this weekend to marry his dear Joe.  How exciting for them! I look forward to celebrating their love, this Saturday!  

*Then I thought, "Damn, I want some tender lovin' kisses!"  So I swung by Levi's work to drop off a Blueberry scone and squeeze him oh so tight!  That was definitely the highlight of my day! Oh I love that man so much!

If I Only Had Today - Hilary Weeks

A New Year and a GREAT day!

January 1:

It started off with a DELICIOUS breakfast made by Levi.  Seriously, it was the best homemade breakfast I've ever had!! Perfectly made french toast, scrambled eggs with cheese and green peppers, breakfast potatoes, sausage and bacon.  I am VERY particular about my eggs and he's cooked them PERFECTLY every time! I'm glad he's so aware of my needs!  Such a TREMENDOUS morning!  Probably my favorite morning all year.  ;)

We ran an errand at Target, then headed down to Balboa Park so we could check out the free museums and an organ recital.  It was also a good day to use the new Rebel, too.  We had the opportunity to take a tour of the back of the organ pavilion in Balboa Park.  So cool!!  While in line, I took this photo:

I was fascinated with his shoes & socks combination.  Besides, we were in line for a while, so I couldn't help but notice his legs and feet.  

Balboa Park was a lot of fun, with Levi.  I love walking, talking and laughing with him.  

Afterwards, we headed to Slaters 50/50 to celebrate his upcoming birthday {tomorrow}. He's been wanting to try out Slaters since our second date.  It only seemed fitting that we finally go there.....and man, was it TOTALLY worth it!! It was the best hamburger I've EVER had!!  But then again, I got to customize it.  I created "The A-Who?" and it was PERFECTION!!! {The A-Who? = 1/3 lb. Medium rare 50/50 patty, sauteed mushrooms & onions, baby greens, mozzarella, peppercinis, tomato w/ honey mustard and ranch}

SO.  FRIGGIN.  DELICIOUS.!!!

I tried to have our server sing to him, but she got a lil busy.  However, she was kind enough to put his birthday dessert on the house.  Man, I'm craving a Cherry Coke now...

We wanted to try to see Django, but it was sold out at Fashion Valley AMC.  Oh well.... a movie for another date.  

I had such a wonderful New Years day with him.  Even when it takes us forever to find parking or get a lil lost trying to find a new restaurant, I still have the best of times with him! What a wonderful way to start off a new year!  

Mom's Birthday Breakfast!

Today's my Mom's birthday....





 and I thought I'd make her & my Dad breakfast. 

I love making Quiche and I thought I'd try a cool funky syrup for the pancakes.

I caramelized the apples with butter, cinnamon, sugar & vanilla.  Never made it before,  but it turned out pretty spectacular!!! Seriously, I want to make more pancakes just to eat more of it! I love breakfast! and I love my Mom! Today was a good combination of both!

What makes a Monday morning even BETTER?

1. A GOOD laugh! As I was walking into Albertsons this morning, I tripped on a mat. My sister was busy reading something, but there was a man who witnessed it all and started to smile. I didn't fall, but I did stumble around for a bit. I couldn't help but laugh out loud! I looked completely foolish, and jokingly said, "I should have just waited in the car! Happy Monday to me!" I had huge grin on my face....as well as the man who was still watching me.

2. Bob Marley music! I usually listen to my iPod in the car, but had the radio on instead.  So glad! Bob Marley just makes life so much sweeter! How can you ever be in a bad mood after listening to his music?! Love him!

3. Service for others!  After dropping off my sister, nephew & niece, I came home and planned on just making breakfast for myself. Instead, I made a few more fried eggs, bacon and oatmeal for my parents. It felt good to serve. They do so much for me, it's good to give back.  

By golly, I think today's gonna be good day.... I can just feel it! :)

p.s. Things are getting better with my new singles ward. [Pacific Beach ward = PB] More people are remembering my name and opening up. I like that!  It helped that I joined ward choir last week.  However, I was asked by the music director to sing a duet for our Christmas program.  I didn't know, at the time of asking, that it was to be a duet...for Gesu Bambino.  I thought I knew the song...thank goodness for YouTube! OH MAN!!! And I'm singing the 1st Soprano part.  Pray for me.  I also got a Visiting Teaching route. I'm glad! ...and I was asked to speak next Sunday, on Tithing.  Alrighty... I think I'm officially in the ward now.  Mr. Red said he'd come with me, next Sunday.  Hmmm....

4/20 BABY!!!

Today is my very dear & best friend's birthday!!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPHYPOOH!!!

She is an amazing friend! So thoughtful and caring! I couldn't have asked for a better friend and missionary companion!! 
I love her dearly!! I'm stoked at the arrival of her newest baby!! I can't wait to see & meet her new lil family!!

Other than that.... I made the BEST Egg, Sausage & Cheese Strata (Quiche?) tonight for dinner. I was in the mood for breakfast for dinner.  Also made Cheesy potatoes & Strawberry pancakes [made with cake mix, so they were more like crepes]!! Oh man, it was all very very DELICIOUS!!!!  I'm not gonna lie... I had 3 helpings of the Egg strata!!!  I ate like it was Thanksgiving.


Can I say I was celebrating my best friend's birthday and eating for two?

Or I guess three, since she's pregnant.
