Attitude of Gratitude - Day 7 - 9: Weekends!

Man, can I just say how much I LOVE and LIVE for the weekends.  I love being able to wake up without an alarm clock.  I love spending as much time in my world's most comfortable bed! I love being able to relax in bed with Levi as long as I want.  I love the ease of going out for breakfast and running errands with him.  It's always so nice because I feel like I can reconnect with him and that it's just us against the world....well, you know what I mean.  I think sometimes we get use to just spending the weekend together, that when something scheduled comes up, it throws us off and our freedom feels so compromised.  I love the ease of doing whatever we want, whenever we want.  LOVE IT!
I feel like my blood pressure goes down a gazillion points and there's no traffic in sight--such a wonderful feeling.  It's just nice not having to be anywhere at any certain time.  Man, how I LOVE the weekend!!

Fiber.

It's 12:39am, Monday morning.
I should be asleep, considering I need to be at work in 7.75 hours.
My stomach has been weird today.  Not too sure what I ate, especially since Levi & I eat the same things on the weekend and he's feeling fine.  I, on the other hand, am not feeling fine.
Today, I was sitting on our bedroom floor sorting stuff, when I suddenly got some cramping in my stomach.  I thought it was menstral cramps, since my period starts this week. Within a few seconds, it turned from cramps to a really bad stomach ache.  I leaned on my basket because it was just too much all at once.  Then the bad stomach ache felt like I suddenly needed to throw up. 
I HAAAAAAAAAATE throwing up.  Everything about it just disgusts me!!
So I went to the bathroom and sat on the toilet.  I kept an eye on the trash can cause I felt like my head might be in it, in the next few seconds.  I'd rather throw up in the trash can than hover over a toilet bowl (which is the entire reason why I'll NEVER drink in my life--I just imagine myself hungover, with my head in a toilet. GROSS!)
Anyways, I ended up showering and just lying down on our bed.  I've gotta say, our bed is the most comfortable place in the entire universe. It sucks us in EVERY time we lie down.  Sometimes, it's so hard to get out of bed in the mornings because it's just so damn cozy & relaxing.  It is so easy to spend 75% of our weekends in this bed. I LOVE this bed too much!
So I figured out what it could be.  Yesterday, as in Saturday, we picked up a Quinoa salad and I ended up having two servings of it.  So delicious...but apparently, pretty potent to my system.  I forgot that I was packed with A LOT of fiber and my body isn't use to that much fiber all at once.  I also forgot to up my water intake due to all this fiber! Ugh.. I just hope it goes away before work....or else it's gonna be a really, REALLY long Monday.

Sunday

This morning when I woke up, Levi was still asleep. I really really REALLY wanted him to wake up, so we could start our day together. I really wanted to wake him up, but he's always so kind to let me sleep in as long as I want. Even if he doesn't stay in bed with me, he's so kind to keep the living room television down so it doesn't disturb me. Like I said, he is tremendously thoughtful and considerate.   This morning, I felt like a kid on Christmas morning, the anticipation of him waking up was just too much! I rubbed his back a few times, feeling a little guilty but also somewhat accomplished whenever he'd start to stir a little. When he finally awoke, I was just so excited, because life is much more thrilling and colorful when I have him by my side. 

However, Sunday nights are difficult. I feel like I have to let him go, for the week...like I'm returning him back to work and school.  I feel like I have such a hold on him during the weekends, since we pretty much spend every minute together from Friday night till Monday morning....and I love every single second of our weekends! There's nothing else I'd rather be doing than spending my weekends with my sweetheart. 

Damn Mondays! Can't it be Friday already? Til next time....

Again!! GRRR!!!

Today, I'm sick.

I feel like I was just saying this a couple weeks ago.  I shouldn't be saying this until later this year. 

WHAT. THE. HECK.!?!

I'm so mad, that i'm sick!!  Of ALL the weekends this should happen, why this one?!?!? UGH!!!!! Mad, I tell you, MAD!!!

So here I am, at work, trying to keep my germs to myself, because OBVIOUSLY someone here didn't do that and some of us are sick! That makes me mad, also!! GRRR!!! 

I'm drinking water like a drought is upon us and taking 10,000iu's of Vitamin D, every 3 hours, to try to knock this cold outta me.  I'm also taking DayQuil so it can help stop anymore symptoms from getting worse.  I wish I could go to sleep, I know that would help immensely!  7 more hours to go.....  Wish me luck. 

The Typical Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 Blog.

-I finished my 8 page (back and front) letter to Hermanita. Oh I miss her so much!! She'll be home in 11 months from her mission to New Mexico.  I cannot wait!! 
-I should be going over my Relief Society lesson for Sunday.  Why. Am. I. Lagging.??? 
-I also need to figure out the rest of the R.S. newsletter for the month.  Man, oh man!
-I wish the meat would defrost faster so I can make chili tonight.  HURRY HURRY!!
-Can I just say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE having my nephew Sim home?! Seriously, it's been SO MUCH fun having him around again. I missed his highly energetic vibe! I wish my other nephew, Bub was home as well. He's a good balance to Sim's fast paced energy.  I feel SO BLESSED to have the best nephews & niece ever!! 
-MAAAAAANNNNNN!!!! I just remembered, I need to do the Shepherding routes for Sunday as well.  DUDE! SO. MUCH. TO. DO.!!! How did I even forget!?!?
-My birthday's coming up!! I don't know what I want to do?! It's the same day as Sim's "homecoming", so I'll be sharing the day (nice! less pressure! :) )  I need a dress! Do I want to make a dress?? I did at first, but I'm gonna be busy! I need a birthday dress! 
-Especially since my birthday's on Sunday AND I'll be singing at church that day.  I am SOOOOO excited to be singing with Jozel, my first counselor.  She has an amazing voice and our range is very similar, so we blend SO WELL together!! I've been wanting to sing with her for a while.  It's like a birthday gift! 
-Man, I WANT my birthday to get here already....but at the same time, I want this month to go by so slowly.  I'm REALLY going to miss my YSA ward, especially the Relief Society sisters.  I feel like I've been spoiled these last few months. 
-I'm doing laundry on a Friday night.  Which always happened to be my "laundry day" anyways.  I'm not a big fan of going out on Friday nights.  Maybe I'm weird.  
-I CANNOT wait for the General Relief Society meeting at the end of this month.  I've always liked them, but this year, it'll mean so much more to me.
-I LOOOOOOOOOVE LOVE LOVE this blog!!! 
-But for now, we'll get through this weekend and enjoy the holiday.  I can't wait! 

Thank goodness for weekends!

I'm not gonna lie.... This weekend was exactly what I needed! 

I needed to get my head in a better place and just regroup. 

Friday night was the blacklight "GLOW" dance--had an AWESOME time!!

Saturday was pure CHILL! 

Sunday was a DELIGHT! Got to see my friends at church &, hung out with a few of them at the beach playing Charades again! 

,,,and then I got to hang out with "Kobe".  

Which made the weekend even MORE better!!

It was fun.....and GREATLY needed! ;)

I've been itching to go to Costco this week!!!! I don't really need anything there, but I'm sure as soon as I step foot inside I just might :)

Today I'm EXTREMELY HAPPY!! My Bubba's here to visit this weekend!! Oh I love my nephews & niece so much! Oh Elder Lomu.... can't wait til you get home NEXT year!

In general, I'm pretty happy today. I'm happy that it's Friday! I'm happy that the sun is out and San Diego is the most GORGEOUS city to be in, this weekend! I love my city!! I love my life. I thoroughly enjoy most, if not all, of my co-workers. I really like my job! Life is SWELL!!

Maybe I'm happy because I had pizza for lunch today. TheNewGuy and I hit up that lil pizza dive again---SO DELICIOUS!! Oh how I love pizza!! Hmm....maybe I'll go to Costco for some pizza! YUMMY YUM YUM!!

I'm going to cut my hair tonight. The ends are so dry...but I really like how long my hair FINALLY is. But I don't like the way it looks and feels dry. Eeek....a lil nervous. Maybe I'll even get it colored....Eh, I don't know. We'll see.

I'm suppose to go to a wedding tomorrow. Eh no thanks...

Hmm.... 23 more minutes before my weekend starts!!! I can't wait!!!

Oh Monday, dont' take it personally....

...but I really don't like you. UGH Mondays!!

*Well Friday was a lil choatic. Wasn't a typical work day, just VERY VERY QUIET. I was able to get all my work done with a quickness. Luckily, Mamacita and I were able to resolve our problem. It all started because another co-worker "thought" she heard something and told Mamacita that I was "talking crap". Yes, someone decided to 'react' instead of 'act' to that gossip, but I'm just glad everything's cleared up between Mamacita and I. I would NEVER do anything to ruin our great work relationship and wonderful friendship.

*My Young Women's Volleyball team did quite well. I'm very proud of them. For their first game, they played great together. I'm sure some of them were a lil nervous and forgot the basics, but all in all they should be very happy with the way the played. They won 1 set out of 3 and that's okay with me.......for now.

* I didn't go out with Morgan on Saturday (like we've been doing for the last month)....but we ended up going out on Sunday. We hit up the newly remodeled Mormon Battalion Center in Old Town San Diego. OH.MY.GOSH!! It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!! I think it's a definite MUST SEE!!! I love it!! I can't wait to go again!! They've transformed it into a beautiful 'hacienda'!! It's so unreal!! It's hard to believe it's a church structure, I LOVE IT!!

* Sitting in class with Morgan made me miss going out with him on Saturday. So I was really glad when he asked me out to the Mormon Battalion center. I had such a lovely time with him. I always thoroughly enjoy going out with him. I'm so stoked that we're going out on Wednesday! We'll be walking around the Coronado Ferry Landing and then grabbing a bite to eat. I'm so happy I get to see him mid-week!!

*I'm in the mood for some Bañuelos...ORALE!!
